Should I know Ismael Bonfim? Pickem odds with Terrence McKinney (who I think is really good, if a bit of a spaz)

@ufc oh damn espn said she was 39. Either way I think this the ultimate don’t overthink it. Yes, nunes sucks, but it’s not like fairn is a world beater. Plus nuned is used to dealing with girls who are much bigger than her.

@broccoliman his takedown defense looked great on contender series. Oliviera isn’t much of a wrestler tho, he only gets guillotines when people try to grapple with him

Predictions: 9 of 15 Winners, 2 Perfect, 595 Points   |   Tied for 3085th

Figueiredo vs. Moreno IV
Deiveson Figueiredo, DEC
Here they are once again. Imo it’s 2-1 Figgy but that’s besides the point. They are so evenly matched, however I think Figgy has shown that he’s the better fighter. His power makes up for Morenos speed advantage. I could see Moreno going for takedowns but I think Figgy will defend them. My only concern is Figgy’s weigh cut

Andrade vs. Murphy
Jéssica Andrade, TKO, R2
This one is pretty self explanatory. Andrade smashes anyone not named Rose, Weili or Shevchenko. Murphy doesn’t have it

Craig vs. Walker
Johnny Walker, TKO, R2
Walker is really unreliable but he should win this. Craig often gets opportunities because his opponents play his game. I think Walker will land something crazy and knock him out

Rua vs. Potieria
Ihor Potieria, TKO, R1
Shogun should have retired years ago. Enough said

Moisés vs. Costa
Thiago Moisés, SUB, R2
Costa looks solid but Moises is underrated. He’s great grappling with great pressure. I think it’s too much to ask for a debut fighter like Costa to deal with

Bonfim vs. Lazzez
Gabriel Bonfim, SUB, R2
I’m a big believer in Bonfim, his got solid striking and pressure with an excellent ground game. I think it will be pretty even on the feet but if Bonfim gets it to the ground it’s gonna be ugly for Lazzez

Almeida vs. Abdurakhimov
Jailton Almeida, SUB, R1
This is gonna be a murder. Almeida is a future contender

McKinney vs. Bonfim
Terrance McKinney, TKO, R1
This might be another time where picking against Ismael bites me in the ass. I believe in McKinney’s first round finishing ability though

I'm actually not surprised its opened as a pick'em but money will definitely come in on T-Rex. Both Bonfims are legit. There contender series fights were basically showcases. They were getting signed anyway.

So the closest matchups on this card besides the two title fights are probably Oliveira vs Marcos, Lacerda vs Stamann, and Mckinney vs Bonfim. For Oliveira vs Marcos, I have Oliveira based on experience and better competition. I think Marcos has potential, but he's going to lose a few before coming into his own if he does. For Lacerda vs. Stamann, I have Lacerda. I think Lacerda is very talented, and Stamann's only win in the last 3ish years has been against a Wineland that couldn't really take a punch anymore. For Mckinney vs Bonfim, I have Mckinney, but I think it is more because of bias than anything else. Bonfim will have the crowd going for him along with having his brother compete on the same card, so I'm going 55 Bonfim and 45 Mckinney for chance to win. I'm just hoping that Mckinney shocks the Brazilian crowd cause I think he has unlimited potential

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 8 of 15 Winners, 2 Perfect, 515 Points   |   Tied for 3946th

Teixeira vs. Hill
Glover Teixeira, SUB, R1
The longer this fight goes, the more it favors Glover. I think if it goes to the ground it'll be over quickly. I feel like Hill has to KO Glover in the first two minutes or he's done. I hope Glover gets this massive title win in Brazil.

Figueiredo vs. Moreno IV
Brandon Moreno, DEC
I think Moreno will take the quadrilogy, but who knows. I'm just excited to see which one of these guys will end up fighting Pantoja.

Burns vs. Magny
Gilbert Burns, SUB, R2
Burns is such a stud, one of my favorite fighters. Magny won't be able to compete with his power or Gilbert's insane jiu-jitsu.

Andrade vs. Murphy
Jéssica Andrade, TKO, R1
Andrade is leagues ahead of the rest of the flyweight division except for maybe Taila and Blanchfield. This should be an easy win in front of the home crowd.

Craig vs. Walker
Paul Craig, SUB, R1
This is such a 50/50, I'll take Craig because if he gets it to the ground it's a wrap. The question is, will he be able to get it there?

Rua vs. Potieria
Maurício Rua, DEC
I think Potieria is a massive fraud with a padded record and we'll see Rua retire on a win in front of the home crowd.

Rodrigues vs. Ferreira
Gregory Rodrigues, TKO, R1
Rodrigues is a stud, this fight will be fireworks and I think Rodrigues gets the KO win in Brazil.

Moisés vs. Costa
Thiago Moisés, SUB, R2
Moises looked great last time out, I think he'll pick up a finish against Costa on short notice.

Bonfim vs. Lazzez
Gabriel Bonfim, SUB, R1
Bonfim is an ace, and Lazzez's lost to Alves is a pretty bad loss, I think that loss exposed the holes in his game and Bonfim will capitalize.

Almeida vs. Abdurakhimov
Jailton Almeida, SUB, R1
Almeida is a future title contender, this is the lock of the night.

McKinney vs. Bonfim
Terrance McKinney, TKO, R1
McKinney is instant action and this one will be over quick. If Bonfim can survive the first two minutes, I think he'll get the win, but I don't think he will.

Alves vs. Dalby
Warlley Alves, TKO, R2
I'll take Alves with the upset. Dalby is an inconsistent fighter and I think we'll see him on a bad night.

Nunes vs. Fairn
Josiane Nunes, TKO, R1
This a tune up for Nunes, should be an easy quick KO.

Lacerda vs. Stamann
Luan Lacerda, SUB, R1
I'm gonna go with the dog Lacerda here. He's a submission specialist, he even submitted Raulian Paiva back in the day. I think Lacerda will get a shocking and fast sub against the seasoned veteran Stamann.

Marcos vs. Oliveira
Daniel Marcos, DEC
Saimon's debut was very lackluster, so I'll take Marcos here, he looked solid on the contender series.

How much of a safe bet is an Andrade/Jailton/Burns/Nunes moneyline parlay? Thinking of putting a lot of money on them, and want to do it before the bookies lower the payout too much (the parlay was +125 yesterday, now it's -110).

Everyone seems to think these are locks, but parlaying not 1 but 2 WMMA fights is making me nervous.

My concern about parlaying 2 WMMA fights is the same, but I watched some tape and I think Nunes and Andrade should easily win this.

Nunes has a lot of power, works with some combinations and seems to have the gas tank to work for 3 rounds. She loves to apply pressure and Fairn doesn't seem to deal with it pretty well.

Andrade has the power advantage over Murphy and should steamroll her, although I think this could go the 3 rounds.

Predictions: 9 of 15 Winners, 3 Perfect, 620 Points   |   Tied for 2714th

Figueiredo vs. Moreno IV
Deiveson Figueiredo, TKO, R4
Watch the weight cut. If Deiveson doesn't suffer a lot from it, he should win this. I'm banking on a finish for the brazilian, but the more likely scenario is going to a decision.

Andrade vs. Murphy
Jéssica Andrade, TKO, R2
Picking Andrade here. Murphy is tough and I honestly could see this going 3 rounds, but Jessica has so much power that I hardly doubt it.

Moisés vs. Costa
Thiago Moisés, SUB, R3
Moises is very underrated and I think he will dominate Melk, especially coming on short notice.

Nunes vs. Fairn
Josiane Nunes, TKO, R2
Nunes by finish. I think this will be similar to Nunes x Malecki. Fairn is way taller and has the reach advantage, but is not very technical and doesn't seem to handle the pressure pretty well. On the other hand, Josi has a lot of power and works with good combinations on the feet. It's gonna be a stand up fight, so I'll go with the more powerful and more durable one.
