For those who down voted my American fans comments, you know you have done these behaviors and boo fighters for being boring.

im from America and im fine with it. I think Johns last night is a perfect example of our "boring" standards but if im upset at anyone it was Jacksons lack of urgency to escape the clinch. I've never seen someone with such dominant wrist control still remain in the clinch the whole fight. So its not all Americans. You get someone who takes down Conor McGregor and the whole country of Ireland is complaining that its boring so I don't think its as much of an American problem as it is just a stupid fan problem.

Johns fought smartly and stuck to his strengths. Why wouldn’t he?

Jackson will be back, and as HiDeff mentioned it was surprising that he couldn’t use the wrist control to get out of clinches and separate to gain the standup advantage.

I look forward to Jackson’s improvements

@Pie2munch Don't think Montel is as good as people think he is and being 28 he is close to his prime as a batamweight he be a bust hype train because anyone who get compared to the like of Jones and Silva alway end up being ****. But a hype train im on is the Arman express that kid gonna be champ in about 5 years

28 huh?....yeah if he doesn’t improve soon enough he’ll just end up a journey man

Arman is solid, 23 years old and losing to Islam is by no means a set back

Johns was capable of dominating that fight but seems to forget he can strike while the fighter defends those takedown attempts against the fence. He forgets it’s not just grappling. He looks a bit washed ever since that first loss

I thought he only got 4 title shots free? He had to go on a crazy streak against top 10 guys with no shot then lost against Pettis beat cejudo but cejudo got a shot before him. I recall him losing to Johnson twice and Figueiredo twice. It’s crazy how hard he is to submit he gets out of the worst positions. Can’t help but wonder what would have happened in round 2 if he survived another 12 seconds. A minute to clear his head against a guy who fades and put out a lot of energy in the 1st round

Either way 16-5 is a pretty impressive Ufc record for someone thats only fought top 10 guys in the ufc 16-1 outside of those title fights. People can say what they want but he has earned every single one of those title shots

I have no issue with the grappling but im sure dana won't be chomping at the bit to book a guy who had more takedown attempts than he did significant strikes. you automatically take yourself out of the running for a performance bonus and outside of his country hes going to get 0 attention from the fight. its not the quickest way to climb the ladder I guess you would say. Pay or rankings ladder. I can see how people thought it was boring but I didn't mind it. Just saying other than another W on his record that kinda performance isn't going to do anything for him.

He fought top ten guys when the division was basically new and had only ten guys or whatever.

I'm not trying to **** on his career but like most he didn't have what it takes to be champion of the world. Makes the champions all the more impressive.
