Ferguson vs. Gaethje
Justin Gaethje, TKO, R2
Expect this fight to be violence for however long it lasts. I anticipate it to last 2 with gaethje getting a devastating finish with constant pressure and vicious leg kicks. Gaethje has become a lot more calculated and reserved in his recent fights and I believe that it will help him in this fight... Not to mention the extra 3 weeks of training he will have to prepare for Tony. Also, take note that Ferguson cutting weight to 155 this week could potentially play a big factor in this fight. He looked awful (drained)... and for anyone who knows about weight cutting they know that it takes a tole on your kidneys and results in a lower immune system, meaning that it is not beneficial for Tony to cut a reasonable amount of weight 3 weeks prior to him doing it all over again. Tony more than likely walks round at somewhere between 185-190 which is quite a lot of weight considering he will have to do it all over again in a couple more weeks. Even if he is doing it in the correct way, it still will have an affect on him and will not be good for him in anyway shape or form.

You're incorrect. Ferguson is a natural welterweight 170

I think you’re incorrect on this one mate. Tony has come out numerous times and stated that he cuts at least 40 pounds to make lightweight. Don’t you think if he was a natural 170 he wouldn’t of looked drained and sucked in as much as he would cutting from a higher amount of weight like 185-190 like I said. He easily weighs over 170

Just looked it up. You're right. He was 179 for this unnecessary weight cut.

The UFC’s website says “Due to the closing of Ibirapuera Gymnasium for the installation of a field hospital through September, UFC 250 will not continue as planned in Sao Paulo. UFC looks forward to returning with an event in the near future"
I’d imagine the event as a whole is canceled, but the above message could also be taken as the event may happen just not in its original location, which we already knew.

I'd guess that Florida will be the location.  The Governor is  starting to open the state back up. Plus the classification of Wrestling as an essential business.

You think that's bad?

My local council charges me 1975$ a year in rates to live on a property with no mains water or sewage. Nice 2 acre paddock that I have to mow every three days in summer,  I get mobile reception 50% of the time and the highest net speed I can get is 1.3MBS so I guess it all works out though.

I’m really going back and forth on my pick for the Main Event.
When Justin was announced as the replacement for Khabib I thought “this will be interesting, but I’m taking Tony”.
When the matchup got kicked back to May I thought “This fight just got more interesting now that Justin has more time to prepare for a specific opponent. Still giving a very slight edge to Tony”
Now, I’m sitting here thinking about that frivolous weight cut Ferguson made last week and am thinking “Geez, I’m thinking Justin walks away with this one”
I know Tony’s a character all his own, but it seems pretty foolish to cut weight for a fight that’s not happening when you know you could possibly have a fight(and another weight cut) within a few weeks. I know he was trying to prove a point, but I won’t be surprised if he’s laying on his back questioning that decision with a flashlight in his eyes come May 9th.

Also, I know a lot of people are writing Spencer off, but it kinda says something when Nunes backs out because she wants a full camp before they matchup.
I’ve thought for a while that Spencer could give Nunes problems on the ground. I’d still pick Nunes for the win, but wouldn’t be shocked if she got out-grappled either.

I also think Spencer have a good chance. Nunes was outstriked by Randamie. Her striking is probably overated due to Cyborg knockout. Spencer survived 5 rounds with Cyborg. I don't think nunes can finish her on the feet even if she win the exchange. Could Nunes stop takedown and back control from Spence? not sure of it.
