@brad
I genuinely do think covington/lawler was a fixed fight, that was such an illusory performance by lawler.
With that being said, I also think Usman/woodley was a staged fight. Woodley put on one of the worst performances ever in the octagon.
all the prefight antics with covington was so cheesy.
Demetrius Johnson recently stated the UFC is a circus show like the WWE.
but none of that matters, it's all for entertainment🤐

Oh man, again with the Fixed fights conspiracy nonsense!  You seriously believe that the UFC would risk losing everything they've built over the years, massive prison sentences all so Kamaru Usman and Colby Covington can win a fight?  Yeah that makes sense!
I can see maybe a fighter underperforming and not trying to win(Rampage vs Fedor!) so basically they'd be letting the other guy win through their lack of effort.  But actual proper match fixing with the UFC's, fighters and all involved all colluding to fix the outcome of a fight? NAHHH!  Doesn't happen

UFC doesn't need to fix fights for fighters to throw fights. At the end of the day, it's two guys in a cage.

@Mikey1903

I want to believe that you're correct, but the UFC shoves controversial fighters with marginal skill down the fans throats wether they deserve to be on top of the card or not.

the ufc doesn't fix fights,fighters pick and choose who they fight.
but I think woodley and lawler underperformed purposely to make them look better. I wouldn't say they let them win because they would have lost either way.
it happens, rarely but it happens.
Adesanya didn't finish silva out of respect
I wanna say Holloway didn't finish Edgar for the same reason but he fought pretty stupid against Volkanovski so i can't say

Judges can be corrupted, also. Most recent case was  Usman vs Colvington. They had Colby up every round, including the round Colby got his Jaw broken. If Colby had survived, he'd have won that fight on the scorecards. That's shenanigans. Serious shenanigans.

Usman landed the 2nd most strikes ever in ufc history, most body punches in ufc history and had the highest punch diferential in ufc title history...a guy who hugs his opponents to death with his muscles and bones.

Covington then sets the record for most punches thrown in a fight ever against a guy with better hands than him... just funny to me, considering how many great fighters this sport has had and these are the two guys who did that.

Refs can be persuaded to stop a fight fast or slow I'm sure as well. Or even refs betting and trying to insure the outcome

Axl bud  I do not understand?  Why would Woodley or Lawler go out of their way to make Covington and Usman look better????  What is the point in that???  They gain nothing
I actually thought the same about Adesanya vs Anderson.  There was definitely a lot of respect from Adesanya toward Anderson, he was his idol!  So I thought he was maybe taking it a little easy, but then again  if any of those headkicks that just skimmed past Andersons head had been a cm lower Anderson woulda been out cold!!!
But, even if that is true that is not match/fight fixing

@mikey fight fixing has been a problem since fighting started. just cause ufc never been implicated doesn't mean it doesn't happen.
And there's lots of different ways it can happen it doesn't have to be full on conspiracy style with ten different people involved. Look at boxing! U can't Believe truly nothing shady has happened in ufc to influence outcomes. Even ******** judging. Everyone is for sale.

Axl, so are you suggesting that the UFC paid Woodley/Lawler to let Usman/Covington to land enough strikes on them to break UFC  records and make them look good????  ***??!!!  Woodley seems like the type who would let the world now that the UFC tried to bribe him!

Free, I am well aware of the history of corruption in combat sports going back a long long time but it's not 1950's and the Mob don't run boxing like they once did!  Now, I am not naĂŻve enough to believe that nothing shady has happened!  I've no doubt that plenty of things have happened.  But out right fight fixing where fight outcomes are being pre determined?  Nah!  The UFC make just as much money no matter the result, no matter who wins the UFC  always win!!!  That is what I don't believe happens.  The UFC do not need to fix any fights and if they were even suspected it would end them as a business
