Bit of a top-heavy card, but a really nice doubleheader in Boston Saturday night.

Prelims kick off on UFC Fight Pass at 7pm ET before switching to FS1 at 8pm. The PPV main card, as always, lands at 10pm.

Time this one right, and the Bellator main event should be ending before the UFC co-main.

I think people are underestimating Stipe in this one, but it's HW, and I'll be the first to acknowledge that Francis has some of the most frightening power I've ever seen.

I don't give Volkan much of a shot against Cormier.

As for the rest of the card, I'm intrigued by Almeida-Font, and I think Kattar is the live dog on the night. Don't sleep on that kid.

What a champion is miocic. Best HW of all time IMO, has beaten the best of the old and new guard.

Thanks for hanging out everyone.

Til next card, dueces.

Was thoroughly entertained from start to finish. Islam started us off perfectly. Biggest shocker imo was the Font KO.

Stipe is the GOAT at HW and will soon be the GOAT in all of MMA. Stipe beats prime Fedor and prime Cain

@House Sparrow Stipe would have problems imo with the pressure of Cain,Idt Stipe does that good being pushed back and his defense is mediocre at best when he doesn't have time to calculate (and bad in general but especially pressured cause his instinct is to fire back wildly, much less calculated than his normal strikes).I think Cain is bad match up for Stipe stylistically and wouldn't be able to out cardio "prime" Cain.I don't know who i'd pick but probably Cain...And now Stipe's going to be the greatest ever in any division soon?Lmao,oh god.

As far as beating prime Fedor, yeah most likely, that's the evolution of the sport but people don't judge goat's by who would win it's how good you were during the era you compete in.

@avp

I don't know about that.  Velasquez may not be the same fighter he was when he held the belt.  Guy has gone through multiple knee injuries and recently had to have spinal surgery.  With all those injuries piling up, one has to wonder if he can use his wrestling as effectively as he used to as well as if his conditioning is up to snuff.  Plus, despite this minor setback tonight, NGannou is still very much in the picture as a contender.  With more training to fix his holes in grappling and conditioning at the UFC performance institute, I could see NGannou being a nightmare for Velasquez.  Not only that, there is still Werdum, Overeem, Hunt, Volkov and Lewis to contend with.

I've got to start sticking to my guns. On the last 5 UFC cards I've made 6 last minute changes to my predictions....got every change wrong!

@HJWalker Last minute changes are usually a kick in the g****s,I try not to do them unless it's a last minute change after studying footage etc. Also another thing to keep in mind is your memory to negative things is generally stronger than positive things,it's just how the brain works.

You won't remember when the last minute change worked out as much as it didn't because it's frustrating when it doesn't and when it works out it's kind of expected. It's like if you're running in a race and you are good at it,you're not going to remember passing people as much as when people pass you.In the long run you were probably right more than you think.

Great fight, fantastic job by Stepe.  Exposed Ngannou for what we all thought he might be and retains #1 bad man status.

"I'm not the Scariest, but I'm the Baddest"

These words carry more weight than people realize. Glad Stipe shut up the attempted and hard core "Let's Poster Boy this guy and not show proper respect to the champ" from Dana. The Belt move was just.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy me some Ngannou, but you could tell he was told to "Start Talking ****" and get added pressure to make him a "personality" to be a poster boy in the UFC. He did not know da wae.

Hope he goes back to how he was before the UFC Hype Job Treatment.

Anyone think round 4 should have been 10-7?
