Bit of a top-heavy card, but a really nice doubleheader in Boston Saturday night.
Prelims kick off on UFC Fight Pass at 7pm ET before switching to FS1 at 8pm. The PPV main card, as always, lands at 10pm.
Time this one right, and the Bellator main event should be ending before the UFC co-main.
I think people are underestimating Stipe in this one, but it's HW, and I'll be the first to acknowledge that Francis has some of the most frightening power I've ever seen.
I don't give Volkan much of a shot against Cormier.
As for the rest of the card, I'm intrigued by Almeida-Font, and I think Kattar is the live dog on the night. Don't sleep on that kid.

I've noticed this tends to happen a lot to thai-based fighters who try and use their hands more than their legs and elbows...Muay thai is simply insufficient both defensively and offensively for middle-distance hand striking exchanges. It's drastically inferior to boxing in this regard, and it isn't designed to be used this way.

Anyone else notice how horrible Gian Villante looked at the weigh ins?I liked Gian since Strikeforce,I thought he had a lot of potential but he seems like the same fighter even training with guys like Chris Weidman everyday.It's a little mind boggling looking at a potential 3 fight skid.Borroso is about as boring as it gets as far as the big guys go,hopefully Gian can make it somewhat entertaining,he's pretty fun to watch.
I'm psyched with that Font win :D

10-9 villante, but this is really low rent ****. Borrosa has about as much boxing defense as phil collins and villante does nothing other than wing the right.
