Welp. We've lost what was widely considered to be the best fight on the card, severely dampening excitement for the event. 

But the show must go on. 

Prelims kick off on UFC Fight Pass at 7pm ET before switching to FS1 at 8pm. 

The PPV main card kicks off at 10pm.

I don't really think the 5th should have been a 10-8. In that whole flurry that hurt Thompson, Tyron really only landed 3-4 shots. Stephen got back up and only took 1-2 more for the rest of the round. A round that I had him winning up until that point. Not a robbery, but I had it the other way.

That fight wasn't even that close in my opinion. Thompson had 1, 2, 4. Third and definitely 5th round you could give to Woodley. But maybe I'm being biased...

Meh whatevs. 

I don't really have a problem with Woodley winning it. I had it a DRAW. 10-8 R5 because the ref was very close to stepping in. That's kind of how I handicap 10-8's. 

Wish Wonderboy did more. Feel like he could have put a lot more work in. I don't really see giving Woodley either of the first two rounds.

Should have been a draw ,I guess... 1, 2, 4 for Thompson.. 3 for Woodley and 5 was a 10-8.. But I'm actually OK that somebody won, since another draw would mean another rematch to this terrible borefest.

RD1 - Thompson (10-9) 
RD2 - Woodley (10-9)
RD3 - Thompson (10-9)
RD4 - Thompson (10-9)
RD5 - Woodley (10-8)


Final Score = Draw 47-47 ... I don't see how you can give Woodley any anything more than a 47, he really didn't do much in round 1,3, and 4 for any of those rounds to be scored a 10-10. Wonderboy didn't do much either but he did enough to win those rounds when you compare what he did with what Woodley did

Was that what is considered a 10-8 now? Holy hell. I remember hendo and shogun putting each other in the hospital and the score being 48-47

Edit: I don't care I'm just confused as to what a 10-8 round is or a winning round is. Either a td counts with damage or it doesn't. If a td is scored then an immediate escape and reset should negate it. It's just weird.

When Buffer read out 48-47 Woodley, 47-47... I really thought it was going to be a majority or split draw. 

I don't see how Woodley won either rounds 1, 2, and 4. So maybe the judges scored the fifth round 10-8 to Woodley and gave a 10-10 on one of the other rounds.

I gave Woodley 10-9 on the last round. The old rules it would most likely be 10-9. I know this event is still using the old rules but would it be a 10-8 round with the new rules?

It's because of fights like this why I believe in the use of yellow and red cards that dock fighter pay for inactivity in fights like they did in Pride.

This fight was not worth $59.99 and anyone who paid for this on PPV, I feel bad that you got ripped off.

Just watched the Elkins fight.  Good grief. There are certain guys that just keep coming. Hell with a potn bonus. He deserves a comeback of the year bonus.  Some guys just will not quit no matter what. That spirit can't be taught. You either have it or you don't.
