Wiuff and Gomez met in a catchweight bout following the main card.
Wiuff attacked Gomez with powerful punches at the start of the fight, getting him to the canvas and working some ground and pound against the cage. Gomez got back to his feet but Wiuff hip tossed him back to the mat, where his dominance continued. Again Gomez got back to his feet and again Wiuff tripped him back down.
Gomez defended a few early takedowns in the second but Wiuff still got him down within the first minute. Wiuff went for a Kimura but Gomez defended the hold and rolled Wiuff to wind up on top, where he worked short punches from half guard for several minutes. The referee stood the fighters up and Wiuff got Gomez back down before the bell.
The fighters exchanged strikes from close range in the early going in the final round, with Wiuff getting the better of the action before landing another easy takedown.
The judges scored the bout 29-28 across the board for Wiuff, giving him the decision victory.
