like you said, Volk's mindset is also a factor. tbh I didn't really watch his interviews before the fight, but the stuff he did post fight, like the conference and his yt video, was pretty worrying. obviously I'm not a psychiatrist so I won't speculate too hard but idk, the aura around Volk just got shattered for me. it seems like Islam sucked the life out of him. will it just motivate him going forward, and will he show up better than ever? who knows, but it's a worry either way in my mind

Such a bad take, Woodburn came in on like 3-4 days notice and was up against an Olympic level wrestler.
Of course he got KO'D, dude was a landscaper brought in as a sacrificial lamb for a NCAA legend with no preparation and probably scared ****less of being wrestle ****** for 15 mins.
BO was consistently faking takedowns from the starting bell, Bo picked up that when he faked the takedowns Woodburn would lightly drop his guard incase he needed help defending takedowns.
After that it was a wrap Bo would just keep faking takedowns and throwing powers shots right over his guard.
Woodburn will just have to redeem himself and show, he's an aggressive brawler that has a mean clinch game with heavy power and strength.
