Why are you surprised Chris G is at 92%? He's way better than Alateng. I like Alateng, but Guitz doesn't lose to perennial fringe top 15 fighters. He only loses to dudes that are top 15 caliber which Barcelos and Munhoz were when he fought both of them. I do think Montel would've beat him, but I also think Montel is a top 10 bantamweight at this point in his career

Pereira vs. Petroski
Michel Pereira, DEC
Interesting fight could really go both ways however Petrovskis striking is very iffy and has terrible defense can see Michal catching him and stuffing the takedowns both will be gased by the 3rd

Cháirez vs. Lacerda
Edgar Cháirez, TKO, R2
Lacerda will gas and get ****** up

Rodriguez vs. Saaiman
Cameron Saaiman, TKO, R3
Interesting fight here, Saaiman has a clear striking advantage here, C Rods submission defense is solid can see him survijg any subs

Elkins vs. Brown
TJ Brown, SUB, R2
Risky fight for brown trusting in his abilities to control Elkins on the ground and get a RNC late in the second

Lisboa vs. Oliveira
Tainara Lisboa, DEC
Who knows both have **** no good wins

McKinney vs. Marotte
Terrance McKinney, TKO, R1
McKinney very fast in the first round will catch him early however every winnable fight for a ufc debut

Alekseeva vs. Dixon
Melissa Dixon, DEC
50/50 never really know with women’s mma prospects

Gutierrez vs. Alatengheili
Chris Gutierrez, DEC
30-27

Yoder vs. Ducote
Emily Ducote, DEC
Pretty simple

Yusuff vs. Barboza
Sodiq Yusuff, DEC
This fight is an absolute coin flip, Barboza and yusuff chin are suspect and both have lacking cardio. Clear experience advantage to Barboza, hard to tell who has a grappling advantage here. Trusting in yusuff to be able to hopefully implement a grappling heavy boxing game plan to nullify Barboza however, Barboza is a great underdog could definitely get it done

Maia vs. Araujo
Jennifer Maia, DEC
30-27

Martinez vs. Yanez
Adrian Yanez, TKO, R2
Interesting fight here Martinez is underrated and could definitely get this one done however I believe yanezs boxing will be the difference

Yusuff vs. Barboza
Sodiq Yusuff, DEC
Yusuff can win this however he wants but Barboza has the ability to finish him at any point. I don't think Edson is washed and I'm not super high on Yusuff but I see him winning a decision. I really hope the OG Barboza come through though.

Maia vs. Araujo
Jennifer Maia, DEC
Co-Main? Lol. I'll take Maia to win via wrestling.

Martinez vs. Yanez
Adrian Yanez, TKO, R2
I want Martinez to win and I was originally picking him due to his ability to wrestle when needed and his nasty leg kicks. I'm not picking him because his chin is extremely sus and I think Yanez can finish him.

Pereira vs. Petroski
Michel Pereira, TKO, R3
Petroski has awful cardio as it is and now he's coming in on short notice to fight a beast? He's gonna get takedowns but then he will gas and Pereira will finish him in the 3rd.

Cháirez vs. Lacerda
Edgar Cháirez, SUB, R2
I see the same outcome happening. You can argue it was controversial in the first fight but Lacerda still got himself in that position.

Rodriguez vs. Saaiman
Christian Rodriguez, DEC
So many are picking Cameron and I just can't hear. It's gonna be a close fight but I just think Rodriguez is the better grappler and I think Saaiman can be defensively sound on the mat when he gets taken down but he's not gonna be able to stuff all of them. Cameron is the better striker but not by much and it sucks how Rodriguez keeps getting slept on.

Elkins vs. Brown
TJ Brown, DEC
I'm taking TJ Brown here. I personally think he's one of the worst fighters in the UFC but he has heart and can implement takedowns. If Elkins was younger with less damage taken I'd easily pick him but I just can't. Both guys are absolute dogs though.

Lisboa vs. Oliveira
Tainara Lisboa, DEC
Lisboa is gonna stuff takedowns and piece Oliveira up on the feet. I think Lisboa is really good. This fight shouldn't be close.

McKinney vs. Marotte
Terrance McKinney, TKO, R1
McKinney is gonna pressure Marotte and finish him with a huge punch early. I'm not sleeping on a McKinney sub though. Marotte seems talented but his record is extremely padded and he's stepping in on super short notice vs a 1 round killer.

Alekseeva vs. Dixon
Irina Alekseeva, SUB, R1
I see some fluke submission happening in this one. I'd say Alekseeva is more skilled but both women aren't very good. Could go either way.

Gutierrez vs. Alatengheili
Chris Gutierrez, DEC
Chris will win but it's gonna be close IF Heili decides to wrestle. Chris can be taken down and controlled but Heili likes to stand and bang with low output which will benefit Chris. Heili is gonna have to check tons of leg kicks cause they'll be coming.

Yoder vs. Ducote
Emily Ducote, DEC
Ducote will beat Yoder but I think it's gonna be fairly close. Ducote will chop at the legs like she did against Penne in her debut. Yoder isn't UFC caliber but she's a dog and has heart. Ducote is way more skilled though.

NGL, kinda forget this card was happening, Just was so hype for Usman and Volk stepping up on short notice, that the only thing on my mind

But this card is actually quite good when you look at the fight

Yusuff vs. Barboza
Edson Barboza, TKO, R2
Warbozza R2 Flying Knee

Maia vs. Araujo
Viviane Araujo, DEC
It's a pick ems so underdog it is.

Martinez vs. Yanez
Jonathan Martinez, DEC
Martinez is more well rounded and his striking is nothing to scoff at, I think he can ink out a split decision.

Pereira vs. Petroski
Michel Pereira, DEC
I simply believe that Pereira is too athletic for Petroski, Petroski is already someone who gasses hard on a full camp. He could potentially win round one but the next two seem insurmountable.

Cháirez vs. Lacerda
Edgar Cháirez, TKO, R2
Lacerda was literally out in the last fight, Chairez should finish him. Although I would guess in a later round this time around because I expect Lacerda to be more tentative.

Rodriguez vs. Saaiman
Christian Rodriguez, SUB, R2
Say what you want about C-Rods compeititon, the guy has a slick ground game and Saaiman hasn't shown me he's capable of stopping that yet.

Elkins vs. Brown
Darren Elkins, SUB, R3
I am never EVER counting Elkins out in an potential slugfest.

Lisboa vs. Oliveira
Tainara Lisboa, DEC
Lisboa... Lesb- Ok, I have no clue who either of these ladies are. Going with the meaner looking one.

McKinney vs. Marotte
Terrance McKinney, TKO, R1
HEADLINE NEWS: T-Wrecks mauls the kid.

Alekseeva vs. Dixon
Irina Alekseeva, SUB, R2
Russian Ronda, I liked her last fight. Nothing else really influencing my pick.

Gutierrez vs. Alatengheili
Chris Gutierrez, TKO, R2
Gutierrez should win this but Alatengheili has KO power so he's an interesting underdog (I also rate his win against Chad Anhelliger).

Yoder vs. Ducote
Ashley Yoder, DEC
Going against logic here because this fight is guaranteed to make no sense.

Martinez vs. Yanez
Jonathan Martinez, DEC
Great fight!

Pereira vs. Petroski
Michel Pereira, TKO, R3
Who's gas tank will last longer? I'm guessing Pereira, he has gotten better and the move up to 185 will probably help even more. And I've been waiting for someone with decent power and cardio in the UFC to catch Petroski, like Aaron Jeffries did.

Cháirez vs. Lacerda
Edgar Cháirez, SUB, R3
Lacerda didn't completely blow his gas tank in the last fight so I'm a little more cautious, but he was about to get subbed anyway. That being said I'm actually less confident than the first time around.

Rodriguez vs. Saaiman
Cameron Saaiman, DEC
It's exciting to see these two young prospects matched up! But I wish they could both win lol

McKinney vs. Marotte
Terrance McKinney, TKO, R1
He's so exciting when he wins, come on T-Wrecks! Marotte's only loss was to Adli Edwards who is a pretty good FW, but not as dangerous as McKinney.

Idk why people aren't that interested in this event. It seems like more people were interested in last week's event than this week despite having 3 ranked matchups and one matchup that's going to result in a ranked matchup. Maybe last week was just so historically bad that it was worth talking about. This event is basically the standard fight night that happened during COVID, so there's not much to talk about bc it's not horrible, but it's also not great

Also, the main event really does nothing for the division unless Yusuff dominates Barboza. Barboza still has fight in him, but he clearly isn't beating anyone in the top 5 even on a good day. And the co-main event really does nothing for the flyweight division bc Maia is most likely going to win and there are about 4-5 women that are better than her in that division plus she's 35 now. Martinez vs Yanez is the only interesting ranked matchup, so I guess I just answered my confusion. I still think it's going to be a good card tho. There's a lot of even matchups and anything that isn't should be a finish
