No actually Khusein is going up to 145 for this matchup. Burns missed weight at 145, I don't think they'd ever let him go down lol

Bdog won't strike with yair if he does he loses he will grapple and probably catch a sub.

@drchaotic nope it says 135 on espn and ufc stats believe it or not lol. If Herbert is actually going to 135 he’s a ******* idiot; this should be a free win for Askhabov as burns is gonna gas even faster than normal

Brian - Yair is one of the best fights UFC could at the moment, speaking of the whole roster

Disagree. I expect Brian to pretty much walk through Yair.

Absolutely terrible matchup for him.

I just don't see how yair doesn't get subbed. He's not putting Brian away on the feet. Only real chance is a decision, but I doubt it.

It wouldn’t surprise me if yair somehow found a ko. Ortega has a great chin but he doesn’t have striking defense AND he’s been on the receiving end of two of the worst, sustained beat downs in ufc history. Doesn’t end well for your longevity. Not saying it’s gone now but he seems primed to take more damage here, even if he wins

Yair has kicks, you can KO almost everyone with a kick, unless you're fighting Yoel Romero

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 4 of 12 Winners, 2 Perfect, 265 Points   |   Tied for 3148th

Ortega vs. Rodriguez
Yair Rodriguez, DEC
Wow great main event this fight can go so many ways but i see yair being able to stuff takedowns after realizing holloway was easily taking him down if he can stay standing he is going to piece ortega up and as long as he doesnt give up his back to ortega he should win this

Jacoby vs. Jung
Da Un Jung, TKO, R1
good striking bout i think un jung hits harder and maybe a little faster too expecting him to derail jacoby

Waterson vs. Lemos
Michelle Waterson, SUB, R3
ehhh decent fight hard to tell how waterson does shes very inconsistent im hoping here she gets one of those late subs that she has in the past

Burns vs. Askhabov
Herbert Burns, SUB, R1
with a record like that id assume hes good but ive seen too many padded fighters and herbert burns is no slouch

Soriano vs. Lungiambula
Punahele Soriano, TKO, R1
punahele has lost two in row once to allen who outstruck him and the maximov fight he got laid on dalcha is not going to have anything for soriano and puna is gonna hit that good shot and get the KO

Simón vs. Shore
Jack Shore, SUB, R1
i see some people saying this fight is close i disagree shore is going to steamroll through ricky and get the finish

Quarantillo vs. Algeo
Billy Quarantillo, TKO, R3
BILLY Q IS WAR billy is a fun fighter to watch always and he usually gets a late finish im expecting one here against algeo who hasnt been tested the way billy is going to test him

Li vs. Salikhov
Muslim Salikhov, DEC
another good fight but honestly muslim even at his age should put on a nice masterclass with his striking earning him the UD

Schnell vs. Sumudaerji
Matt Schnell, SUB, R1
sumadaerji is decent but i like schnells skillset he needs to implement it more like he did in the royval fight i believe if he does we see a early finish

Grant vs. Stoltzfus
Dwight Grant, DEC
dwight gets a bounce back W here

Rowe vs. Nurmagomedov
Abubakar Nurmagomedov, DEC
the fresh prince has some pretty good striking along with his height and reach for the division but i dont think his best stylistic matchup is a daegestan wrestler who is going to grind you for fifteen minutes

Predictions: 9 of 12 Winners, 4 Perfect, 590 Points   |   Tied for 67th

Shane Burgos vs Charles Jourdain
Shane Burgos DEC
Wooooo! This has FOTY written all over it. Idk who wins but I’ll go with Burgos because of his volume and forward pressure. Blocking shots with his face might catch up with him though, same with Jourdain

Jessica Penne vs Emily Ducote
Emily Ducote DEC
Emily has looked outstanding in Invicta recently. She’s finished both of her last 2 fights but I think Penne will be tough enough to survive and lose a 30-27

Phillip Rowe vs Abubakar Nurmagomedov
Phillip Rowe TKO R2
Phil has had very noted troubles with takedown defense that has me questioning his ability to defend them against a Nurmagomedov. However he has proven that he can knock guys out even if he’s losing. That’s why I’ll take him in this very close fight

^^ sadly they’re probably gonna replace a good fight on the main card with it. Lemos vs Waterson is 1000% better than that fight. I wouldn’t be shocked if the ufc somehow makes it the co main event lol
