He's been thinking about moving up to Lightweight for a while even mentioned in a couple interviews.

Who would Ortega even fight at FW? he seems to be in a dead end plus I don't see him becoming champion at FW anytime soon.

Thoughts after this card

Predictions: 2 of 6 Winners, 0 Perfect, 115 Points   |   Tied for 3805th

1. My friend Dustin Jacoby is an underrated beast. A former Glory kickboxing champ and an ever improving MMA fighter. I knew he was going to win this fight and he delivered.

2. Jack Shore disappointed me, I thought he would put up a better fight than he did. He hasn't faced the highest level of competition yet although his record is great.

3. Dwight Grant sucks. Thought he lost to Alan Jouban, and Stefan Sekulic. If you take away those robbery wins he's lost his last his last 6.

4. Is the UFC done shoving Miesha Tate down our throats yet? She got her ass kicked yet again. Her face is always a mess after every fight. She got her belt after somehow miraculously subbing the underachieving Holly Holm. She needs to retire. She gets beat up by sub par talent. Slow, bad timing, no power.. just bad.

5. Bill Algeo is better than I thought. Or Herbert is worse than I thought.

6. Puna might be the toughest non ranked fight in middleweight. Dudes a durable powerhouse.

7. Charles Jourdain got robbed big time

8. The Scnell comeback was ******* insane. One of the best I've seen.

9. Ortega and Yair need a rematch asap. I'm in the minority on this but I'd like to see either Josh Emmett or Arnold Allen get the title shots. Both those dudes are SERIOUSLY UNDERRATED. Other than the champion himself Arnold Allen might be the most well rounded fighter in that division. DARK HORSE.

10. The Leach showed good mental fortitude to come back from being dominated by Khamzat. Although Muslim is 38 which is considered ancient at welterweight.

Decent card overall.

I honestly don't think they will do a rematch. Ortega will be out for awhile, since he needs surgery and recovery for that may take some time. Dana also mentioned that they'll probably do something else.

I had a thing with my wife today so I missed the card. Sat down and watched it at like 7:00. Really happy with my picks despite going 7/12.

My most confident plays and all my dog plays cashed. Hindsight 20/20 the first round chance Burns had was real, but I should never pick a fighter with only one round in them. Glad I didn’t bet it.

I went heaviest on Jacoby and Schnell. Was hardcore sweating my Schnell max bet, but my hunch was right. Stoltzfus was as greasy as I thought, but blind betting against grant paid off again.

The fights I thought were greasy as **** were indeed greasy as ****. Biggest shock to me was the main event, I thought Bryan would have had Yair the second it touched the mat. What an interesting injury, but that’s MMA. Glad I was able to generate a positive night.

If you picked Jack Shore

Predictions: 0 of 0 Winners, 0 Perfect, 0 Points   |   Tied for 3962nd

I can't help you.  I broke down everyway they matched up and Ricky literally had every advantage, outside of length.

Striking power = Ricky
UK Wrestling vs Northwest USA Wrestling??? = Ricky x1000
Speed = Can't tell me Jack is faster after that... Ricky
Experience = Ricky
Strength of Schedule = Ricky by a country mile
BJJ Black belt = Ricky (his BJJ Black Belt didn't come from his father)

Jack is young.  He has time to come back and make improvements.  I am sure he will be fine.  He has talent.  But as of right now, books got that line completely flipped.
