Yanez is the best boxer at 135, and a future ufc title contender

Predictions: 7 of 13 Winners, 2 Perfect, 415 Points   |   Tied for 2636th

He has a very tough fight ahead of him, tho, against Tony Kelley. Kelley has a very difficult style for Adrian: He has great movement, talented in both stances, very good lowkicks, excellent in the clinch, very durable guy,..... But i think even if Adrian loses this fight, he will fight for the belt one day and maybe be champ, he arguably has the best pure boxing skills in the while sport, imo he does, and i don't see anyone in boxing range doing anything to him at 135

Marquez vs. Rodrigues
Gregory Rodrigues, DEC
I dont know man this is tough.. and I want to say a finish (sub/ko) vs a decision, but Marquez has never been KO'd and I see these guys scrapping on the ground and stand up. Layoff might hurt Julian. I see a Rodrigues KO, Marquez Sub or Dec here for honestly either guy.. im taking the safe route.

@el222

I've never spoken to this person on here prior to this evening. How else should I debate with him?

I'm not a huge Winn fan but for some reason I root for him. My original post was why I guess I do. I stated that he "has some power in his hands", which he does. It's a big reason why he got the Lawlor fight on the undercard of Liddell vs. Ortiz (that and he trained with Cormier).

I personally felt he should have knocked out Spicely, and in the first minute of the fight he went for it (hence why Bisping said at 4:12 of the first round that he smelt a finish). But it didn't happen. Remember when Kimbo vs. Houston Alexander went to a decision? It happens.

This person also stated earlier this evening that he "didn't want to argue" or something along those lines in the PFL thread,  but it's clear he does.

Anyways, I'll say it again. I hope that both camps have addressed their weight cut issues, but I doubt it. I'm looking forward to the first round of Hawes vs. Winn. After that I expect them to gas, Winn first.

Ismagulov vs. Kutateladze
Guram Kutateladze, TKO, R3
I'm actually gonna go for the underdog for once. I like the tape I've seen on Guram. Yes his last fight with Gamrot was controversial and I've been going against fighters with long layoffs but I like what I see out of this guy and Damir hasn't got a finish lately and has been going the distance albeit with victory, I don't think he lasts that long with this guy.

@baldric

That is a fair assessment. I cared enough to post my opinion, so it's only fair that I care enough to respond, but I am an MMA fan whose had many years on this forum and will most likely frequent it over the years to talk MMA. I'm not opposed to people being against my opinion, just want to have intelligent debate about it here and there. Guess this isn't the place anymore. Cheers 🍻

Kattar vs. Emmett
Calvin Kattar, TKO, R4
Kattar is the far better striker although Emmett does have real KO power. My thought on this though is that Calvin will wear down Emmett and find a tko finish in the later rounds. Also, Kattar has a very good chin so the chances of him getting flatlined by Emmett IMO are extremely low unless Emmett lands perfectly which I don’t think he will.

Cerrone vs. Lauzon
Joe Lauzon, TKO, R1
This one isn’t easy to pick. Lauzon hasn’t fought in 2 and a half years, but tbh I don’t think that’s necessarily a bad thing for this fight. Cowboy has received so much damage over the years and hasn’t won a fight since 2019. I think Lauzon has a clear path to victory and that’s to finish Cowboy before he can get the wheels going. If Lauzon wins the first but doesn’t finish Cowboy, a live bet on Cowboy wouldn’t be bad knowing Cerrone is typically a slow starter.

Means vs. Holland
Kevin Holland, SUB, R2
Not sure why I’m feeling a Holland sub here but I kinda am

Buckley vs. Duraev
Albert Duraev, DEC
I see a lot of people taking Buckley as a dog. I will admit the odds are tempting, but as far as picks go I think Duraev can wrestle his way to a win.

Ismagulov vs. Kutateladze
Guram Kutateladze, DEC
Damage> Control is the best reason I can give here. Guram is very active off his back too he won’t just accept the position he’s in

Yanez vs. Kelley
Adrian Yanez, DEC
Yanez going to outbox him for 3 rounds

Wells vs. McGee
Jeremiah Wells, TKO, R1
Wells should not be the betting underdog. Eventually people will learn to stop disrespecting Renzo Gracie Philly fighters

Stamann vs. Wineland
Cody Stamann, DEC
This looks like a fight to get Stamann back in the win column

Hawes vs. Winn
Phil Hawes, TKO, R1
Winn is the height of a flyweight/bantamweight fighting at middleweight. DC was like 5’10 and fought at LHW and HW but then again this dude does not have anywhere close to DC skills

Daukaus vs. Dolidze
Kyle Daukaus, DEC
Kyle was looking good against Holland for as long as that lasted and just submitted Pickett. Roman did nothing but hold Staropoli for 3 round against the cage. He won’t be able to do that to Daukaus

@kylethemc,

My man thank you for that Holland by sub pick.  I didn't realize that Means has that many sub losses and it's been a while that Holland has gotten a sub win so I'm going to give it a shot as well.

******* Judges

Predictions: 6 of 13 Winners, 1 Perfect, 380 Points   |   Tied for 2992nd

Well well well. What does everyone think about the Clay Collard decision at PFL?

Everytime I talk about the God awful state of judging in MMA there are always people on here who defend them, MMA rules, damage, control time, it looks different when you are cage side blah blah blah. Always some excuse. What does everyone have to say about that one then? Even a blind person could get that one right. People on here always think I am pushing conspiracy theories, but what's happening sure as hell does not look like a coincidence to me.

And a lot of people say, oh it's not the promotion that picks the judges, its the Athletic commission. ********. How do you explain the absolutely astounding decisions week after week after week in certain promotions much more than the others?

I am telling you guys, MMA is absolutely the worst sport to bet on. Unless there is a finish, at least half the time the person who lost wins. There is no point studying tape, breaking down fights to watch a fight go to decision and then see your correct pick get robbed with one set of criteria, then watch another fight the same night get robbed using a different set of criteria.

I still enjoy watching MMA a lot as I have a love for martial arts, but even watching it is tainted by these fools who obviously have no idea what they are watching or seeing. SInce I quit betting MMA I have made a lot of money betting sports like tennis and cricket. 100% better value for money there and crazy odds all the time.

Against my better judgement I got pulled back into placing some bets on tomorrows UFC card because I am really confident in my picks this time, but seeing how the PFL went today and knowing that this card is in Texas and a lot of fights are likely to go to decision I am expecting a total **** show.

Good luck and Heaven help anyone who has bet the fights this weekend.

Only my opinions, but to answer your questions

1. Lauzon does not win
2. Marquez only wins if Rodriguez gasses or gets clipped on the button (He is not submitting Rodriguez)
3. Wells only wins if he gets in an unexpected punch
4. Winn does not win
5. There is no way on planet Earth that Oliviera wins. She is not good
