I remember Charlie Olives missed by 9, but 11.5?!
Maybe I'm just ignorant, but he had to think the fight was at 155. Baffling really..

Curtis Blaydes, DEC
think we might see more standup than expected, but that doesn't mean lewis is gonna be winning it necessarily.
Vieira vs. Kunitskaya
Yana Kunitskaya, DEC
high hopes for vieira, but i'm thinking yana has decent enough striking to keep it at range.
Minner vs. Rosa
Charles Rosa, SUB, R2
why is this 3rd fight from the top? it's pretty much irrelevant. minner is sub or be subbed and charles hasn't been tapped, so i'll agree with consensus pick.
Oleinik vs. Daukaus
Chris Daukaus, TKO, R2
i love seeing all the faith in boa, and i hope to be wrong in the most spectacular strongman choke way, but i think daukaus' boxing and speed could be problematic.
Imavov vs. Hawes
Nassourdine Imavov, SUB, R2
perhaps he fixed it up, but i'm skeptical of hawes' gas tank if he doesn't finish early.
Arlovski vs. Aspinall
Tom Aspinall, TKO, R1
feeling like aspinall won't be scared to engage like other guys get with andrei.
Gordon vs. Chavez
Danny Chavez, DEC
gonna come down to gordon's ability to force grappling exchanges because otherwise he'll probably be on the wrong end of a technical affair.
Klose vs. Pena
Drakkar Klose, DEC
i think pena will be too eager to clinch and play guard and won't be able to land enough meaningful offense to offset drakkar's pressure.
Wineland vs. Castañeda
Eddie Wineland, DEC
guess i'm just not convinced by castenada's hands and feel like even this shadow of eddie wineland should be the sharper striker. maybe not though.
Erosa vs. Landwehr
Julian Erosa, DEC
having a hard time picking this one. i guess i'll go with erosa's pacing.
Dobson vs. O'Neill
Casey O'Neill, DEC
no idea about casey, but still low faith ceiling on dobson.
Skelly vs. Emmers
Jamall Emmers, DEC
feel like emmers will be able to stay mobile and stuff td attempts while winning the outside fight.
Zahabi vs. Rodriguez
Drako Rodriguez, DEC
aiemann's performances havne't really jumped out to me so it's hard to favor him.
Spivak vs. Vanderaa
Sergey Spivak, SUB, R2
vanderaa could catch spivak without a doubt, but i'll say the card opens the way it closes and one hw dictates the grappling exchanges.

Derrick Lewis, TKO, R2
Actually I think 9 out of 10 times Blaydes vs. Lewis, Curtis would win either with a boring decision or via brutal Ground and Pound. But there are data that may make you doubt that Blaydes' victory is the only possible outcome tomorrow: Derrick Lewis has beaten fighters who had a huge advantage over grappling like Tybura, Ivanov, Latifi, Oleinyk, Abdurakhimov, to name a few. All of those got takedowns on Lewis, worked with Ground & Pound, or tried to get some submission. But on many of those occasions (already late in the fight) Lewis knew how to capitalize at some point in the final rounds to define the fight in his favor either with a victory by KO (like the fights against Tybura or Abdurakhimov) or by forcing a closed decision (like the fights vs. Roy Nelson, Latifi, etc.). Although for example Cormier capitalized on takedowns and subdued Derrick Lewis, most of Lewis' losses were to strikers like JDS, Mitrione, Jordan twice, etc. For his part, Blaydes has a great wrestling base (the most effective with respect to the Heavyweight), he has fights at 5 rounds he has been worn out after 15 minutes which reduces his effectiveness of takedowns, his number of strikes and his initiative in the fight. He almost got caught by Volkov (with knees) in the last 2 rounds when he attempted the takedown (Takedowns that were less disguised by exhaustion). It should also be noted that in the rematch vs. Ngannou was defeated in less than a minute by punches to the ear while attempting to force a takedown. With Lewis you never know it could be a knee when Blaydes tries to look for the takedown (as happened in the Dariush vs. Barboza fight) or the story of Blaydes vs. Ngannou 2. The fight on Paper seems like an easy decision for Blaydes but I think anything can happen ...
