Decided to go with Jack because the majority of the world seems to think I'm ******** for picking Vettori.

But no seriously I think im gonna go with Jack as well for mainly the same reasons. Not sure Vettori is ready for a potential 5. Not sure he has the raw power that Jack shy's away from.

Yeah, but in this case I don't really have a firm opinion. I don't know who wins and can't envisage how the fight looks. Suppose I'll just go with the Tap majority and ***** about them/call them ******s and myself a ****** for having listened to them if Vettori wins.

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 5 of 8 Winners, 1 Perfect, 290 Points   |   Tied for 1297th

Hermansson vs. Vettori
Marvin Vettori, DEC
Vettori is so clean and efficient. So many betting/picking Hermansson on rank, but Vettori's striking and TDD can frustrate any middleweight in the world. Vettori one step closer to an Izzy rematch with a win here.

St. Preux vs. Hill
Ovince St. Preux, SUB, R1
OSP could have shown up on the scale with 1 arm and I'd pick him. Look, if you're picking Hill--it's on blind faith that OSP is toast and his athleticism is for real. His lifetime opponents are *2-11* in UFC. OSP has fought multiple champions and KO'd Anderson. You'd all be picking Corey here, but someone page him...levels to this....

Benítez vs. Jaynes
Gabriel Benítez, DEC
Not sure if Benitez finishes Jaynes, but Jaynes is a 1HKO or bust guy. Huge cardio issues against Tucker and he was losing that fight from 4 minutes on. Banking on Benitez's 71% striking defense being legit. Dodges enough early haymakers to cruise.

Santos vs. De La Rosa
Montana De La Rosa, DEC
Same analysis here as OSP. Laying -200 with Santos is nuts. Her resume is 4-8 in UFC; MDLR's is 21-18-1 with some title contenders. She seems outmatched everywhere athletically, but wonder if the veteran has some tricks up her sleeve. Santos could also gas if she's forced to work....

Dolidze vs. Allan
Roman Dolidze, SUB, R1
Slo Mike can't grapple, which still created one of my worst beats of 2019. Woof. Anyway, my guy here coming off the juice better not grapple with Ukraine's national champ. Dolidze also has massive hands and a durable chin. Not sure how, but guessing he does get it done.

Evloev vs. Landwehr
Movsar Evloev, DEC
Most fight previews have Evloev--a former bantamweight--ragdolling Landwehr when Elkins went 1-for-13 on takedowns. Consider me skeptical. Still, this fight seems headed for a decision, and I'm guessing Evloev doesn't lose his zero at the judges stand.

Smolka vs. Quiñonez
Jose Alberto Quiñonez, DEC
Seeing a lot of action on the Twittersphere on Smolka. I've been burned enough to dog or pass here. Unless he radically changes his horrific takedown defense in a huge sample, Quinonez likely just takes top control, and he's shown some submission prowess before. Smolka isn't exactly bringing Suga Sean level heat to the octagon.

Wiman vs. Leavitt
Jordan Leavitt, DEC
Wiman has never been submitted...he's totally cooked if he does here. Leavitt is bizarre, but likely just so athletically gifted at this point that it doesn't matter. I'll say he avoids the sub.

Flick vs. Durden
Jimmy Flick, SUB, R1
The talk of DWCS...I'd like to see him actually finish one of those slick attempts earlier. Durden was the benefactor of bizarre Gutierrez first round to take a draw, but he got handled in that fight. Unless Durden is just too strong at 135 for Flick, I see another win for Brick.

Jackson vs. Topuria
Ilia Topuria, SUB, R1
"The Leech" earned his nickname by sucking away the fight against Bektic he was losing 20-16. Therefore, I'll enjoy watching him against a dominant wrestler than won't allow cheeky guillotines and armbar attempts. Topuria turned away Zalal so easily...crazy. Step back to Jackson. About as confident as I can be in such a low-level fight.

Villante vs. Collier
Gian Villante, TKO, R1
Gian was actually good on the feet against Greene. 69% significant strike accuracy, a knockdown, and 4.21 SSPM. Collier hasn't stopped a punch in 2020. I know the speed should be slower, but I can't see him presenting a tougher test than Greene. Collier may be the worst fighter on the UFC roster right now.

Villante vs. Collier
Gian Villante, TKO, R2
Oh god. Save me. But in all seriousness, I'm still trying to understand what Jake is gonna accomplish at heavyweight. I don't see him contending high if Tom is roaming around, and Gian if anything, gets in there and gives a decent go.

Smolka vs. Quiñonez
Jose Alberto Quiñonez, DEC
Smolka botching his weight cut in the past really bugs me. He needs to get that under control if he wants to contend. He may get past Jose, sure. But there are guys out the to expose him next. Even saying all this, Jose won't go away easily.

Never bet against OSP. Long arms, good chin, sneaky weird submissions, rarely makes unforced errors, is usually content to hang back and wait for the other guy to make a mistake. He's perfectly made to knock off green prospects who might be better than him, but aren't as composed.

The weight thing was weird though. He got up there calm and collected, missed weight, then did his pose for the cameras. Like he knew he wasnt going to make it and wasn't going to try. It was a weird moment for a long time pro.

^ lol thanks Lauren Potter. OSP has dropped over 50% of his total fights and is 2-3 from his last five. You'd literally have done better than worse betting against him.

Good lord. Every time I think Tap chat has hit peak ******ation someone breaks the previous record by a dozen IQ points. I'm not sure whose Math is worse; yours or the guy who couldn't understand what over 2.5 rounds meant.

if Vettori had faced Whittaker, he would have easily defeated him. Vettori is a very strong fighter. See how he fought with Akhmedov. Vettori especially liked at the end of the 3rd round in the fight with Junior. I would put my house on Vettori
