They kept Harrison out to try and line her up in a big named fight against Cyborg on PPV.

But N'Gannou said he wouldn't fight until 2024, Cyborg resigned with Bellator and Kayla's PFL contract ends before 2024

My guess is they're trying to make headlining prelims cool, like the UFC does.

Probably hoping that if they put on a war, more people will be willing to shell out cash to see Kayla/Budd (GOAT fight).

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 8 of 11 Winners, 3 Perfect, 500 Points   |   Tied for 646th

Collard vs. Aubin-Mercier
Olivier Aubin-Mercier, SUB, R4
OAM should take this pretty easy but it all depends on how bad he wants this. OAM still looks great but he has been very vocal about not wanting to do mma anymore & is starting to hate the strict regimen he has to maintain. Collard is a dog & has been robbed out of this shot a few times now so he is going to be coming in with a vengeance. He is a force on the feet but OAM can hold his own. In the grappling department he is levels ahead of collard. Could see an upset here but I think oam is just too good

Ferreira vs. Goltsov
Denis Goltsov, TKO, R1
It is heavyweight so I suppose Renan could find the ko since he is massive and dangerous but Goltsov is so much better. He can win on the feet but will win this very easily if he wrestles. Renan is a super athlete but he is a waste of talent. Easy 1 mil for Russian bogatyr

Pacheco vs. Mokhnatkina
Larissa Pacheco, TKO, R2
Actually not a bad finals matchup. Unfortunately for Marina, Pacheco is too good

Magomedkerimov vs. Sy II
Sadibou Sy, DEC
Sy’s style is very annoying but he is damn good. Magomed is a dagi so he looks scary but honestly I’m not that impressed with him. For starters, he’s gotta be the most unathletic dagi I’ve ever seen. Second, he is more of a striker; magomed is pretty good but you can’t stand with sy and expect to win. I think he is going to outpoint magomed here

Kasanganay vs. Silveira
Impa Kasanganay, TKO, R3
I’m worried Josh might be able to use his size to bully impa but I think impa is the more skilled fighter. He has a big athleticism advantage here

Harrison vs. Budd
Kayla Harrison, SUB, R1
This matchup lost a lot of my interest now. Harrison has been proven to not be as good as she looked & Budd is washed so she’s not gonna present as many challenges as she would’ve. Kayla is far superior

Cooper III vs. Brunson
Ray Cooper III, TKO, R2
I’m really split on this one. I honestly feel like Brunson should be the fav; he’s an actual mw (could be a lhw), has a huge size advantage, and is a much better wrestler than cooper. However, it’s so hard to rely on modern day Brunson now. He is focused more on getting paid then winning & being the best, he’s also 40, past his prime, and has one round of cardio before he falls apart. Cooper hasn’t shown any signs of being washed physically but he is older and been out for a while. I also don’t think he should be at 185 but he can’t make 170 anymore. I might switch to Brunson but if he doesn’t get a round 1 finish I think he is going to gas and cooper will sleep him

Pinedo vs. Braga
Gabriel Alves Braga, DEC
Pinedo’s pfl run has been insane however, I think a lot of his success has been due to fighting people at the right time (Brendan was burnt out from activity, the bubba fight was a good win). These guys first fight was very competitive but I thought Braga did slightly more. I expect this to be close again but I think 5 rounds favors Braga, who is the much more methodical of the two

Ali Walsh vs. Galarza Lopez
Biaggio Ali Walsh, TKO, R2
I’m really tired of the Ali Walsh experiment but he’s not gonna lose for a while

Jenkins vs. Wade II
Bubba Jenkins, DEC
Why is this happening again? Wade looks kinda checked out to me; he was very consistent for years but he’s been slowing down

Wu vs. Caracappa
Phil Caracappa, DEC
Can’t believe they signed wu just because he is Zuckerberg’s coach; they must be trying to milk a zuck appearance. However he is not that good. Neither is good but Phil has fought at a much higher level

Stirn vs. Blyden
Jesse Stirn, DEC
Why is this on pfl’s big end of the year card? None of these guys are notable names

Budd

Predictions: 4 of 5 Winners, 0 Perfect, 215 Points   |   Tied for 1415th

Budd seems sooooooo non threatening given her exceedingly low offensive output, but there is a mystery that I can't understand.

Why was Pacheco unable to finish her on the feet, and why did she choose to initiate grappling situations in rounds 2 & 3 after being held down a lot of round 1. This tells me there 'could' be something to Budd that Larissa felt which made her change game plans mid fight, and makes me wonder if I am not giving Julia enough credit

Hold on, aren't Jenkins and Wade fighting for the third time? Why's it say "II" on the tap page?

I can see the logic for completing the trilogy since they've split fights, but Wade looks washed honestly.

Ferreira vs. Goltsov

Renan could beat anyone with the shots he lands but he’s a very beatable fighter too but for two people he’s lossed too having been on steroids is very unfortunate but if can land it’s a wrap so it’s not a safe prediction either way

Cooper fighting at mw is so odd, and the fact that he's a 1
55 favorite against Brunson who is going to be way bigger than him and also who are the 4% who picked Ladd to win against Kayla? Lmao, Kayla is going to mop the floor with her. She literally couldn't win a fight against Kolesnyk who is the ultimate can crusher....
