Yusuff vs. Barboza
Sodiq Yusuff, DEC
This is difficult because off the bat and if it were years ago, you'd have to go with Barboza w/ how dangerous his striking was renown as and honestly still is to this day. But let's be real: he isn't as young anymore & he somehow wins the fights he shouldn't win & loses the fights he shouldn't lose. This is a huge bout for both but can see Barboza's vet skills being on display in front of the bright lights. But it's just hard to sell me on that completely right now & have to go with Yusuff's technical young prowess shining through during the bout & winning a competitive & back and forth decision against an all time legend like Barboza.

Maia vs. Araujo
Jennifer Maia, DEC
Pretty simple DEC inbound lol. Maia has more experience as well as being the first person to test Valentina even for a round.

Pereira vs. Barriault
Michel Pereira, DEC
Although Pereira has used his gas tank more explicitely lately, I think the threat of his unorthodox movement as well as underrated submission / ground game will give Barriault more to think about in this 3 rounder

Pretty big fight for both men Sod can prove himself being more than a Tiktoker, Edson can prove he is still the elite MT striker.
Age wear and tear factor will likely not be a big factor, I expect a good technical decision from winner.

Is Chris Duncan good enough to survive 2-3 minutes with Terrance????. I don’t like picking guy with no cardio unless they’re fighting bums or is a heavyweight, If you good fighter, you can avoid getting cold ****ed, so winning in 2 minutes is unlikely vs people with talent.

Is hard because Duncan isn’t great, but is just a level above the bottom of lightweight, He about the level that Terrance could cold ****ed

This fight is gonna look like campbell vs Duncan. Duncan hasn’t fought someone in a while with the power to sit him on his ass. Duncan is pretty chinny

I kinda agree, it kinda what I was saying before Tyson Pedro vs Pleasure man, both Tyson Pedro and McKinny are Professional athetes while somehow having no cardio, but both are dangerous and they’re opponent are bad enough to get cold ****ed before they’re gas

But I’m still not hype for 1 round wonder, you need to have some cardio to have a lengthy career as a top fighter, winning instantly as your only path to victory isn’t reliable

Predictions: 6 of 11 Winners, 3 Perfect, 425 Points   |   Tied for 2218th

Yusuff vs. Barboza
Sodiq Yusuff, DEC
I’m not confident picking Sodiq because Edson has so much experience against EVERYONE. Anytime I am 50/50 on a bout I usually roll with the younger fighter

Martinez vs. Yanez
Jonathan Martinez, DEC
Yanez has better hands. He’s got a big advantage in boxing and probably possesses more power, but Martinez has more experience in the UFC & is the more well rounded fighter. Yanez is coming off his 1st loss in the UFC so I know he’s super motivated to get a win, but for now I just feel like Martinez can make this a tough fight and take it to places where Yanez is uncomfortable

Pereira vs. Barriault
Michel Pereira, DEC
Really sucks that we won’t see Pereira vs Wonderboy, Ian Garry, Jack Della or Kevin Holland at 170.

Rodriguez vs. Saaiman
Cameron Saaiman, DEC
Saaiman seems to be rolling right now, but this fight should be closer to 50/50 than the picks suggest

McKinney vs. Duncan
Chris Duncan, TKO, R2
I want to pick McKinney but I just don’t trust his gas tank beyond the 1st Round. He’s got the power to finish anyone inside 5 minutes but Chris Duncan.

Lisboa vs. Oliveira
Tainara Lisboa, DEC
Bottom of the barrel women’s MMA. Who knows

Cháirez vs. Lacerda
Edgar Cháirez, TKO, R2
I really feel like if Cháirez wins (again) he should get his previous win back. You can’t just “play dead” then jump up like you are fine after the refs stops it

Same. Cameron has show to be very well rounded and he looks so composed in the cage, no hesitation or doubts. I dont know if he will be champion or anything like that but he is so young that i am confident in saying that he will get to a high spot in the top 15 of the division.

Yusuff vs. Barboza
Edson Barboza, TKO, R3
Barboza is still the same fighter he was when he entered the ufc, about a century ago: probably one of the best stand up fighters in the UFC ever, but 2 rounds and a half of cardio, allergic to pressure, to (great) wrestlers and while he's insanely tough, not a great chin . It's enough to win most of his fights, to become the ufc highlight machine and even staying a solid top 10 at lighweight and featherweight for years now, but he just can't win against elite competition. The question is wether Yusuff is elite or not, and we're about to find out !

Pereira vs. Barriault
Marc-André Barriault, DEC
Unpredictible fight, at this weight class who knows what Pereira will look like ? His weight was a huge winning factor at WW. Will his cardio be better or (even) worse ? His chin ? Plus Barriault is not a joke either.

Martinez vs. Yanez
Jonathan Martinez, DEC
God I'm really rooting for a boxing clinic by Yanez in this bout but that DEC win Martinez got vs. Said Nurmagomedov is just too good to ignore. No I'm not trying to use MMA Math here but even though Martinez lost by K.O. to Grant and Yanez won a Split-DEC, I just don't see the competition matching up between the two and believe Martinez is gonna cruise to a DEC win on his end by sticking on the outside w/ his kickboxing and picking at Yanez's legs throughout the bout.

Rodriguez vs. Saaiman
Cameron Saaiman, DEC
Def gotta side w/ Saaiman in this fight. The kid is GOOD, man. Future ranked contender for sure. Although Rodriguez's win against Rosas Jr. was good, it didn't come without it's close calls in the 1st RD.

Alekseeva vs. Dixon
Melissa Dixon, DEC
Honestly don't know or really care. I see some late 1st RD finishes on their record but WMMA is so unpredictable man. Def not betting on this one.

Yoder vs. Ducote
Emily Ducote, DEC
*** are these records??? Yoder lost to Frey? Jesus. Def a DEC here.

Elkins vs. Brown
Darren Elkins, DEC
Def a DEC win or late comeback from Darren. But Darren's got that DAWG in em' and has more experience as well as having fought better competition over the years. Granted he's lost to said competition but potato potatoe.

Cháirez vs. Lacerda
Edgar Cháirez, SUB
Gotta side with this pick once again especially w/ how it went last time around.

Yusuff vs. Barboza
Sodiq Yusuff, DEC
Feels like a changing of the guard fight, Barboza is still dangerous tho. Feels like either 30-27 or even 29-28 for Sodiq

Pereira vs. Barriault
Michel Pereira, DEC
Wonder which version of Pereira shows up, if he's doing flips off the cage and stuff he'll gas out but being very little crowd he should be able to make it w/o all the acrobatics

Cháirez vs. Lacerda
Edgar Cháirez, SUB, R2
Lacerda shocked me when he came out last time being patient but I don't think he can do it again. I bet they gonna make sure that Chris T ain't the ref this time, bc it'll be some 💩 if it was another premature stoppage. Cháirez has had some terrible times with refs this year, hopefully this fight has no drama from the ref .
