From top to bottom card was filled was action.
Zombie deciding to go out on his own terms was something that only TKZ would attempt. Yes if you a TKZ fan you probably sad however I bet we are all happy with the outcome as the legend went out on his own terms.

Porier went through a murders row to get to the top of the rankings I never said he didn’t. The statement someone made was poirier has beaten a lot of guys in his division this is a sport of what have you done for me lately which is why I disagreed with that. His wins from 5+ years ago while impressive don’t really help his case to get a title shot anymore. Off the top of my head he’s only beaten chandler, gaethje and hooker in the rankings and only one of those guys is relevant to the title picture and that’s the guy that just beat him. He seems to want nothing to do with the other guys in the rankings.
Since losing to khabib he hasn’t really wanted to fight anyone unless it’s a favourable matchup. I’m a poirier fan but the poirier you’re describing on his way up would have accepted the beneil dariush fight and wouldn’t have said I don’t want to fight any of these young up and comers in the rankings. I actually think he would have knocked dariush out and got a title shot had he accepted it but poirier wanted to earn it from beating someone he’s already beaten. Wether that’s because the fight excites him more or if it’s because he seen it as a more winnable fight for him only he knows but one things for sure he ducked a fight that would have guaranteed him a title shot. Charles is the only top 5 guy taking risks and fighting the guys bellow him and for that he earned another title shot despite already losing to makachev.
I think poirier still could get another title shot the problem is I don’t see him accepting the type of fights that will get him one. There’s only so many times you can fight the same few guys. He’s hoping Nate comes back but I personally don’t want to see that. Nate looked old and slow against Tony and I think Dustin would crack his chin then everyone would be sad to see Nate go out that way.
My opinion may not be nice but it’s not wrong either. I want Dustin to get that belt one day but I don’t think he as hungry anymore

I absolutely don't agree that you said that Dustin only took favorable matchups after his Khabib fight. Hooker was on a winning streak when he fought Poirier and with a win over Dustin he would've put himself right in the discussion to fight for the vacant title over Chandler. It was the fight Dustin had to take in order to get himself back on track for another title shot. Sure, Hooker has looked horrible after his loss to Dustin but that's irrelevent. Since Hooker was highly ranked and was a true challenge at that time and that's what we are talking about.
He could've gotten the title fight against Charles, but chose to fight McGregor. Those two Conor fights set him up for life, so I can't blame him for that. I truly believe most people would make the same dicision in his position. Especially since he eventually got to fight Charles almost a year later. I do agree that he took the Chandler fight, because it was a fan favorite matchup and also the easiest way for him to get him back on track. I think that was his only cherry picked fight. Gaethje is a hard matchup for most guys currently in the top of the division and that's who he lost to. It was the fight to make at that time and made every sense for both of them. Lastly, you can't say that Dustin ducked Beneil. We don't know for sure if Beneil was offered to him.
Looking forward, I don't see Dustin fighting for a title again. He literally said that he isn't interested to fight up-and-coming fighters that eye his position in the rankings. We'll see what the UFC will do with him and who he's fighting. I actually think he's in an odd spot and should just fight money fights from now on. If he does that, he should give up his spot in the rankings. Nate wasn't ranked anymore either when he took that long break and returned with a win over Pettis. I just think Dustin should do the same as what he did. With that said, I don't see a Dustin vs Nate fight happening anymore either. Nate is probably going to box once more and at that point he'll be too old to win against most guys in the UFC.
It's fine to have an opinion but it's also fine to have a discussion, since that's what this forum is for. Again, you added that kind of context later on after you edited your comment. It wasn't what I replied to. Anyways, I shouldn't have said that you probably started watched MMA just recently. I just thought it was an odd thing to say that Dustin barely beat anyone.
