Predictions: 3 of 7 Winners, 3 Perfect, 250 Points   |   Tied for 4153rd

Chikadze vs. Caceres
Giga Chikadze, DEC
I'm rooting for both guys, I love Bruce Leeroy but if Giga looks good I think he picks him apart.

Tafa vs. Porter
Parker Porter, SUB, R1
This could look like the fight against Mo Usman except Porter will actually be aggressive. If he safely closes the distance Tafa has no answer on the ground.

Choi vs. Errens
Jarno Errens, DEC
Haven't watched much of either, I'm riding with Jrey for this one.

I picked a few underdogs without knowing, at least tap underdogs.

One more I'm considering is Brzeski over Cortez-Acosta. Brzeski doesn't look great at anything, but he's at least kinda well rounded and Waldo still only has hands. I just don't have faith in either one. Acosta doesn't have the skill yet but Brzeski maybe doesn't have the athleticism.

Thoughts? Why is Waldo such a heavy Tap favorite?

Waldo is a heavy favorite because his cardio and output is so much higher than brzeski. Brzeski gasses out after one round. He also has really bad striking defense. Brzeski has a better striking selection but I think waldo is just gonna overwhelm him with his output. Also, waldo may only have boxing but he is very durable. He will beat able to eat brzeski’s best shots and that will deter him

You'd think this time would suit me better than the usual one being european. However since I've molded my life around the normal ungodly UFC schedule including when I work this scheduling is just the worst for me. I'm not positive I'll catch much of any of it live.

I think its a bit of an illusion that Spann and Smith are in significantly different spots than they were in their first fight where Anthony smoked him with little to no resistance on the ground let alone Smith boxing him up and hurting him.

Smith lost two fights to guys he would have any way, and Spann is as boom or bust as ever. A little confused why people's opinions flipped so heavily on what's to me an unnecessary rematch for a fight that was initially a mismatch.

Btw if you want some plays for DWCS - Britto, Reese KO and Knudsen decision seem good spots

@erison Spann hasn’t really changed but smith has regressed bad. I know he was supposed to lose those fights but they weren’t even remotely competitive. Smith doesn’t look like he wants to be there anymore and hardly put up any competitve effort in either fight. He also has taken an insane amount of damage in those last two on top of having a lengthy, damaging career up until this point. He’s getting up there in age and has recently been transitioning into an espn desk analyst. I think he has one foot out the door

It warms my heart to hear you say that, noone except my mom has ever called me beautiful before. I could stay up but if I go with no sleep I tend to make terrible betting decisions unfortunately.

constantly picking on Jrey or any other user, when they aren't even mentioning you, is going to result in another suspension. Please consider this as you think about what kind of comeback you want to try and have.

Smith has looked bad, but we've been saying that for years now. He's taken damage, should retire, etc. He's a gatekeeper, and sort of always has been. He just got to the front of the gate for a while there. But I don't think Spann belongs inside the gate. Anthony looked even worse during the back to back losses to Glover and Rakic. We said he should retire. Then he went on a run of cooking lower level guys, including Spann. I see no reason for this to be different. The passage of time comes for everyone, but Spann isn't a prospect. He's 2-2 of late, the losses being pretty bad, and the wins being Reyes' fragile corpse and Ion who is basically a Toughman fighter.

That makes sense. At heavyweight Waldo's limited skills paired with size and athleticism are probably enough to stick around a while. Cheers for the answer

I just capped Brzeski v Waldo. Waldo's cardio is a bit better but it's not such a huge difference as I first thought. Brzeski gives a really bad visual look with big breaths and chest heaving but he keeps his output up even though he looks like he's dying after half a round. He usually clocks in just under 300 strikes per full 15 minute fight which is a ton for heavyweights. Waldo also noticeably gasses in the third round of fights.
I do think the fact Waldo has 20 lbs on Brzeski unless the latter has bulked up for this one and that he has more power and can potentially end the fight in any round and that he is more likely to be controlling the cage and pressing the action painting a visually better picture for the judges will all contribute to him being a deserved favorite.
I give him 65/35 or thereabouts so I tihink odds are close to accurate with maybe a small value on Brzeski but obviously betting a fighter who's that bad is a huge risk regardless. It is a low level fight though.
