To be absolutely fair everyone is going to forget Jan was close and its better for the marketing that Alex got the decision so now they can bring some live into LHW...

Jan entered really tired in the third round, but in my opposition I land some good shots (with clearly less speed and power) and Poatan despite be the most fresh don't land really convincing power shots before be taken down. The scorecards are debatable, but I think it was obvious who was going to win in the decision and probably Alex vs. Jiri is the fight to be made now that the title is vacant. Because for obvious reasons Pereira is not going to fight Ankalaev before a title shot or for the vacant title...

I totally agree it was a close fight but everyone saying Alex didn't land anything in the 3rd but he was stinging Jan with those left hooks, had that nice knee and some decent leg kicks I feel that caused more damage than what Jan did. Just my opinion tho doesn't mean I'm right.

But conditioning is part of the game and Pereira and his team make the right things in that regard.
