Prediction Comments

Predictions: 8 of 11 Winners, 4 Perfect, 590 Points   |   Tied for 718th

Poirier vs. Gaethje II
Justin Gaethje, TKO, R3
I think Gaethje shows out here, He forces a complete game, and stays within clinch range. They give fans what they want and a slugfest occurs occasionally. Gaethje lands a huge counter hook, with Dustin having a delayed reaction and starts to shell up. Justin piles on and the ref understands this one is over.

Błachowicz vs. Pereira
Alex Pereira, TKO, R2
Jan fights very well, But I think standing up with Periera it's only a matter of time until you get hurt. The accuracy and power of Poatan I think drops Jan, and he finishes the TKO in side control.

Thompson vs. Pereira
Stephen Thompson, DEC
30-27, 29-28, 28-29 SPLIT Dec. I think Pereira fights an incredibly smart fight, but still gets clipped in the process by the precise Wonderboy.

Ferguson vs. Green
Tony Ferguson, SUB, R3
I think Ferg is well on his way to losing this fight, but he stuffs the last of many takedown attempts of the fight. He drops into a D'arce and Bobby goes to sleep..

Chiesa vs. Holland
Kevin Holland, DEC
29-28x3 Uni. Very difficult fight to call, I think Chiesa's gameplan will be to force a grappling match and I think he has to go through some brutal strikes to get that done. Too much damage trying to stick to a failed gameplan.

Giles vs. Bonfim
Gabriel Bonfim, SUB, R1
I think Bonfim comes out forcing a very intense grappling exchange, He lets Giles escape to the point where Bonfim can take his back. He explosively does, and sinks in a very deep RNC, Giles force to tap.

Lewis vs. Rogério de Lima
Derrick Lewis, TKO, R1
I think Lewis gets hurt and Marcos smells blood but really underestimates the power and reach and torque of Lewis' punch. and gets clipped in the process. Comeback KO hook round 1.

Kopylov vs. Ribeiro
Roman Kopylov, TKO, R2
Ground and pound, huge elbows reigning down. I think Roman survives a vicious scare in round 1 and rebounds to win.

Matthews vs. Flowers
Darrius Flowers, TKO, R1
I think Matthews gameplan is clear, which favors Darrius just timing something correct. I think he does, Uppercut to ground and pound tko.

Vergara vs. Salvador
CJ Vergara, DEC
Split Dec 30-27, 29-28, 28-29. Good fight.

Semelsberger vs. Medic
Uros Medic, DEC
29-28x2 28-29 Split. tough fight to call but I think Medic is a better fighter at the end of the day.

Maverick vs. Cachoeira
Priscila Cachoeira, DEC
I've been a fan of Miranda for sure, I just don't think she is the killer that she was made out to be. I think Prisc is the stronger woman with a better gameplan. 30-27x2 29-28 Uni.

Why is Wonderboy a ***** if he doesn’t take the fight when Michel was the one who missed weight by a significant margin? More than likely their teams are negotiating the purse percentage Wonderboy will get from Michel.

Michel won’t wrestle him and missed weight at elevation. Wondebroy should man up and take the fight; it’s an easy win for him and he gets michels paycheck

I agree that ultimately the financial gain for Wonderboy is significant, but is he really gaining anything major in terms of ranking since Michel is #15?

Aint no easy wins when you're over 40, favorite or not. Standard fee would probably be 30% of purse here.

@track that’s why it makes no sense to decline. WB won’t make another run at the title & has explicitly asked to fight strikers. He’s finally getting one & it’s gonna be a fun one so why decline when he’s getting exactly what he wants

40 year old Wonderboy, who probably only has a few fights left (even less if he loses here), should just accept a fight against an already massive 170er who just missed weight by 3 pounds because he’s unprofessional and can’t make weight? Do I have that right?

Wonderboy is at the point in his career where he really doesn’t need to be (or shouldn’t be) fighting young upcoming contenders. The fact he already accepted fighting down against a guy who not many people wanna fight is kind of the opposite of being a *****. What good does this win do for Wonderboy? Casual fans have no idea who Michel is and they’ll care even less that he came in 3 pounds heavy. Hardcore fans will remember that, but no one will remember it if he loses.

I agree that I think Wonderboy would still dispatch him here and that Michel may gas out even faster if he botched his weight cut this bad. But saying Wonderboy would be a ***** for not accepting has to be one of the worst takes I’ve heard in awhile if it’s serious lol

I understand your point about Wonderboy choosing to fight strikers, but it just feels unfair that he has to fight a tough opponent who missed weight while also having a disadvantage in size.

Pretty similar to when he fought UBERTILL who missed by 3-4 pounds nobody cared wonderbread lost Till got a title shot.
To me the age thing makes doing the fight make more sense he trained cut and showed up might as well go for a w.

@meluka he didn’t take this fight to fight an upcoming contender or because nobody at the top was available, he took it because he wants to fight exclusively strikers. It’s not about the win either, sure he gets extra money but he’s taking the fight cuz he wants fun fights, his days of contention are long gone. When you beg for good stylistic matchups (btw when does the ufc ever listen to what the old vet wants) then you should be taking them regardless

What a horrible take, this is what gives grounds to guys like Costa who dgaf about the weight cutting, as he said himself "It's your own personal probelm!" and even tho that was hillarious basically forcing people to fight you while they are at a disadvantage cos you didnt make the weight shouldn't be a thing and at that point if the fight happens or not should be up to the fighter who made the weight, they should get 20% of their opponents purse no matter what (even more if they fight and the miss was more than 1 pound) and face no backlash.

The weight isn’t an advantage tho. Periera is already massive and has poor cardio as it is. Now he missed big and is at elevation. After round 1 he is gonna be struggling badly. Missing weight is only going to hurt periera not help him
