If Chris was still in prime and had not received so much damage, he would still be a contender, taking into account that there are few high level wrestlers in MW and that the ground game many Middlweight fighters are sprawl and pray for the end of the round or that the referee call for stands when they are taken to the ground. The finish of Weidman career was fighting Dominick Reyes in LHW when he was still in the Top 5 of the MW and with a couple of victories he could get a title shot.
