Dern's striking isn't as terrible as it used to be, but I'm not sure she's gonna be landing the better punches in a boxing match in rounds 4 and 5. So its basically gonna come down to Dern the wrestler. Can she initiate honest to god offense-driven takedowns without chaos and win with control?

She has had ZERO evolution in her game since coming to the ufc. She’s made no progress in her wrestling & very little in her striking. Angela hill has been giving out vet lessons recently & I expect that to stay true here. If it stays on the feet this is an easy w for hill (especially since dern isn’t nearly a good enough of a striker to make it close). If dern gets it down this will get interesting; dern will likely win the round but who knows if she can sub hill. I think what’s really gonna happen is hill is gonna put out so much volume dern will drown. Hill put on a masterclass in her last fight

This fight is like glitter;the only people who could possibly get excited about it are gay or under five, exposure to it is probably going to give you cancer, and the more you think about it, seemingly the less its existence is justified on any level at all.
Angela hill is over it, should be retired. She has gone to decision more times than the Supreme court--has finished six fights in nine years, her most recent coming against the singularly awful Hannah Cifers back in 2020. She's the communal bowl of nuts, ever-present in dive-bar-cards like these. Always kind of just....there.
