I am really really bummed. I thought I was going to make the best play of 2023 in the very first card. I am fuming!

Not laying any more bets until after the weigh in. This card is ******

What makes you think a guy who fought absolute nobodies would destroy Argueta? I mean dude was a moderate underdog and 80% of people on Tapology were picking against him. I wasn't too sure about that fight, but I think it's more likely he beat up Argueta in the first and then lost the next 2

I really don't know - I guess maybe Imavov can get him down and do some damage from the better position? Or Strickland could just outpace him and jab his way to a decision. I'll go Imavov since he was preparing for a five round main event and hasn't just fought in one.

Amazing short notice replacement. Actually a lot better fight than the Gastelum one, regardless of Strickland's recent struggles. I'm not confident in my pick at all, and this fight will answer a lot about both fighters, but I'm going with Imavov, who is still improving from fights to fights, whereas Strickland seems to have reached his better form (wich is a gatekeeper to the top 5).

If you watch tape and know what you are watching it's obvious.

I am frothing. I locked him up at 3:1 odds and had him in about $8000 worth of parlays. I had to cash out all of that and lose the early value I got on other players like Ige, Umar and Ribeiki as well.

I am so done with this card.

If you look at the early posts on this thread you will see how high I was on him. I consider him to be a real prospect. If he has even a touch of cardio he could be a contender. And I don't rate Argueta. He is middle of the road average.

I believed in Dulgarian beating Argueta but Aguirre isn't nearly as good a wrestler. Dulgarians competition is also better imo. I see Argueta winning a clear cut decision

Strickland easyyyyyyyy

Predictions: 6 of 11 Winners, 2 Perfect, 350 Points   |   Tied for 2771st

Bet everything you have on Strickland, this is gonna be the easiest fight in his career. Imvavov is highly overrated, I was recently arguing with his fanboy and when I mentioned Nassouridine's cardio he said : "he gassed himself out doing fancy stuff", so I went ahead rewatched the fight and I can certainly tell his cardio sucks he didn't really do anything fancy in that fight, started off first round with pressure but started backing off in the second and completely gave up in the third.
I am pretty sure going in this one his plan was to use his reach and finish off much smaller Gastelum in second or third round which obviusly is not gonna happen against Strickland. Sean by dec or fifth or fourth round finish.

I think an interesting thing about this fight is imavov has recently adopted a grappling heavy style. I seriously doubt he’s gonna have much success with it here, if any at all. Strickland is very hard to take down

I had Dulgarian as a pick and a bet, that's unfortunate.

They could’ve met later down the line, the ufc must really wants to see what Medonca is all about right away since he went on his rant about how he could be champion right now, let’s see if he put his foot in his mouth

I'm obviously picking Basharat, but tbh I could definitely see this being one of those cases where Mendonca steals Javid's hype and next year he's on everyone's top prospect list. This time next year he could be one of the top guys on everyone's radar and just outside the rankings
