Duck Pick's

Predictions: 0 of 0 Winners, 0 Perfect, 0 Points   |   Tied for 3686th

Alexa Grasso beat Viviane Arujo
I think this fight is close, I just can't pick Arujo, I think she has the skills, I just don't think she has the cardio to win 3 rounds

Jonathen Martinez beat Cub Swanson
Cub Swanson is getting old, He only lost to top guy, But they're going to be a point when he start losing to mediocre fighter, I think Martinez  will be the time

Askar Askorov beat Brandon Rovyal
I love Rovyal, He's a Tony Ferguson/Carlos Condit style fighter, It just hard to not see a Russian grappler to not just expose his takedown defence and hold him down, Trying to catch a submission off bottom is like trying to catch a unicorn

Dusco Todrovic beat Jordan Wright
I'm down for this one, It's going to be a low skilled, Explosive fight, I take Dusco because I take the guy who doesn't need a sub 1 minute meme KO to win and just have more ways to win, Also Jordan Wright only UFC win is Ike Vilenava and Jamie Picket

Alonzo Menifield beat Misha Cirkonov
Black-splosive vs guy with no chin, No Brainer

Mana Martinez beat Brandon Davis
Hard to pick someone who is 2-6 in the UFC in Davis, And Mana seem to have heavy hands

Nick Maximov vs Jacob Malcone
I think both guys are lay and prey fighter, Should be close, Might take Maximov because I think he has better hands

Victor Henry beat Raphael Assushio
Victor look really good against Raoni and Raphael has been KO'd or pretty much KO'd in 3 of his last 4 fights

Piera Rodriguez beat Sam Hughes
it's women MMA so i wouldn't count out Sampage, But I think Pierra is a better kickboxer and will stuff the takedown

Taturo Taira beat CJ Vegara
Taturo seems like a solid prospect, He should win this, Only thing I don't like is that he's 22

Pete Jackson beat Mike Jackson
LOL,

Royval will win. Askarov has no finishing ability and Royval will just keep scrambling unti Askarov gasses. His cardio is suspect to me

Rovyal has a 39% takedown defence, Askar a russian wresler, Having a Russian Grappler is the last thing I want on top of me, And Rovyal is going to kept having this Russian Wresler on top of him. Not going to end well for him

Also, Trying to submit someone on bottom is not a good plan, Has to be a big jiu-jitsu deficit between you for that to happen

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 10 of 11 Winners, 6 Perfect, 755 Points   |   Tied for 50th with 11 others

Askarov vs. Royval
Askar Askarov, DEC
This will be slightly competitive at most. Royval favors bjj off the back more than defending takedowns and I don't see him trying to change that against Askarov. If Bontorin could make it to the ground, Askarov will definitely be able to bait him there. Askarov should bully him for most of the fight unless Royval's leveled up.

Vergara vs. Taira
Tatsuro Taira, SUB, R1
Should be over quickly. Vergara isn't skilled enough as a grappler to fend off Taira's submission attempts for the entire 15 minutes.

Didn't any of you watch the over rated Kai Kara France fight?

Royval got subbed by Pantoja who Askarov outgrappled. That seems more relevant than the France fight where Askarov won the first and then got tired and outstruck.

@pillory idk how people are forgetting that. Pantoja came out guns blazing too which is exactly how royval fights and askarov easily outgrappled him to a 29-28. People think he’s **** because of last fight but that was just a bad matchup for him. Royval easily gives up takedowns and always looks for the finish; not smart to put yourself on your back against a daegstani

So you think that Askarov getting tired and then outstruck after round 1 is not relevant. Smh.

And why do you think Royval got subbed by an extremely high level black belt like Pantoja? And why do you think Askarov managed to control him in their fight? You are just talking about the outcome without looking into why those things happened.

Ayy agrèes with you. That tells me I am right 100%.

Lol shows how much Ayy really understands about this game if he thinks that Pantoja and Royval can be compared. They are completely different!

Ayy... you really are a funny man

im gonna be right and you're gonna be wrong as always. Royval is gonna get taken down and controlled. You realize you get tired when you miss on takedown attempts right? thats why kkf was such a bad matchup for askarov. He got tired because he was getting pressured on the feet, and couldn't get a takedown which is known to make you tired. Askarov is not gonna have problems getting the takedown here and hes shown great submission defense. Its not like royval is an elite striker either, hes a brawler. Askar can definitely have his moments on the feet. For someone who prides himself on "research" (listening to other cappers on YouTube) im shocked you're really so confident in royval.

I’d agree with rah but the difference between Royval and Kai is that Kai has excellent takedown defense now. Royval is a really good grappler but he favors subs too much, he’s very submission over position which is not good against a guy like Askar

I understand the gassing part but that was only because Kai was able to defend the takedown. I doubt Royval will do the same

Watching the Mana Martinez pitch from his Contender Series fight right now. He was a proud of being a black belt at age 7 lmao.
What the **** does it even mean to be a blackbelt at 7? That's like winning a school contest and being the "world champion" of that school. Come to think of it that is a very american way to present it.

The more I watch tape on Grasso and Araujo the more I'm coming around to liking this main event. I think this card will be like Dern vs. Yan where the name value is not great and the near future consequences of the fights are unclear, but the fights themselves should be very entertaining.

Ayy... Ayy.. my lad, you have a lot to learn about martial arts and physical exercise. You can't learn these things tapping away at a keyboard like a little nerd like yourself.

You think defending a takedown is the only way to get an opponent tired? I will say no more but I see Askarov sucking wind by round 2 and Royval finishing him.

Talk is cheap.. let's see who is right (me) at the end of the day.

Brandon Rovyal vs Askar Askarov is kinda reminding me of Arman Tsarukyan vs Joel Alverez  early this year, Joel Alverez has a 0% takedown defence, It pretty obvious what one of best wrestler at 155 was going to do to him, But a solid portion of people were on Joel, That was such a lay up fight for Arman

it's kinda simalar as Brandon Rovyal as a 39% takedown defence going against one of the best grappler at 125 and a lot of people are on Rovyal, Like what Rovyal path to victory beside fluke win, Don't bother putting money on Rovyal, Rovyal at +186 isn't good odds,

also, Kai Kara France has a 88% takedown defence, It just a diffrent matchup
