Loving Michael Johnson and Chase Sherman as underdogs against poor opposition. I don’t think either guy is too great either but I think Michael Johnson’s skill and heart is a step above Mullarkey’s and in regards to Chase Sherman’s matchup, he is at least ok at striking and keeping lighter on his toes, at least compared to the state of Jared Vanderaa. The mans a walking beanbag with no skill other than he can take a couple. I think if Chase doesn’t get complacent and keeps attacking the legs and keeping his strikes simple and jabbing out of exchanges, he easily has his hand raised. But with both Johnson and Sherman easier said than done ..

I can’t lie I think Calvillo is possibly one of the single most uninteresting fighters in the roster, she literally has no passion to do anything but the bare minimum in a fight while holding onto her opponent for dear life. Shows with that weigh in. Genuinely think she will win Nunes isn’t good at all and at least Cynthia can wrestle **** most of her division so think she will hold on 15 minutes and get that decision everyone will fall asleep to

I’ve been a fan of Calvillo since I heard she was still a waitress at The Cheesecake Factory while fighting in the UFC. Similar to Geoff Neal and many other fighters.

I would have to go back and watch but I don’t remember her fights being so boring. In her last fight, she wasn’t holding on enough while taking a beating from Andrea Lee.

I hope she wins and ends her losing skid.

I'm probably just paying attention more when I see people picking RDA but it feels like 90% of commenters have RDA in that fight while 69% picked Fiziev overall on Tap.

Lawrence vs. Kakhramonov
Ronnie Lawrence, DEC
I want to say Submission is the way this match is gonna end but I'm not confident enough only seeing a few tapes on this other guy. However I think Ronnie is a well rounded fighter and I was very impressed with him in his match with Mana Martinez. Not sure how Saidyokub is with his hands but I think Ronnie takes this.

This might be a loser leaves the UFC. Roberson just hasn't looked well in his last few fights and I think Kennedy won his last fight and got robbed honestly. I think he smashes Karl's face in, maybe even in the first round. 🤔

dos Anjos vs. Fiziev
Rafael dos Anjos, DEC
The Battle of the Rafaels is a really interesting clash. Fiziev is a great striker and has a good TDD, but he has never faced someone as well rounder as RDA. The last 2 times this fight was scheduled I had chosen Fiziev, but after seeing the strategy that RDA used against Moicano (which was the original strategy to fight Fiziev) I think that night at 5 round RDA I would have beaten Fiziev (perhaps not as extensively as he did against Moicano). Fiziev has KO power, but RDA is quite durable and after the jaw surgery after the Guida fight several fighters have said that they have broken their hands hitting RDA's jaw (more rumor than fact). I see Fiziev fighting the way he did against Riddell: prioritizing the power of the punches over the volume and this in turn allows him to manage his energy. My prediction is that it will be a close fight, where if Fiziev does not manage to finish or clearly win the first rounds, the fight will go uphill, as RDA will fight in a much stronger rhythm in the last rounds and in general he has always shown good gameplans to dismantle strikers as he did with Anthony Pettis, Tarec Saffiedine and Paul Felder at the time

Borralho vs. Petrosyan
Caio Borralho, SUB, R2
Borralho managed to dominate a sambo champion on the ground in his last fight, I don't think Petrosyan managed to defend the takedowns. Petrosyan has an advantage in volume and combinations, but I think Borralho also has good hands, but if he continues the fight on the feet he would be giving Petrosyan an advantage. Still, I see Borralho taking the fight to the ground and dominating during the second or third round and getting a submission win.

Nurmagomedov vs. Silva de Andrade
Said Nurmagomedov, DEC
The odds are probably a bit exaggerated, but Said Nurmagomedov has a clear advantage: Said has a very complete striking being able to use punches, kicks, spinning attacks. Silva de Andrade is primarily a striker and the danger of him is in his KO power. Said has improved a lot lately and if he manages to be cautious, I see Nurmagomedov clearly dominating Douglas D'Silva.

Shevchenko vs. Casey
Antonina Shevchenko, DEC
Antonina has been a Muay Thai world champion so there is no doubt about her good base in striking, but in MMA she has a considerable gap in grappling. Casey is mostly a striker and rarely looks to take the fight to the ground. If Casey manages to take the fight to the ground she can probably win the fight, but if it's just a striking duel Antonina will take the fight 100%

Brundage vs. Gore
Tresean Gore, TKO, R2
Brundage's main problem is that he doesn't seem to worry about taking damage in order to get a choke or takedown, against Dalcha despite receiving punishment this strategy paid off as he got a guillotine victory, but I think Gore will take advantage of the spaces in the striking and he will get a counter KO: Gore does not have a great volume of striking, but his KO power is throughout the fight, my prediction is Gore finishing Brundage in the way he did against Urbina

Pretty much the stats are a bit deceptive and give Chase the edge but really it's a coin toss who wants it slightly more lol.
Sadly both are pillowfist heavies a rare breed also bad grapplers and will probably stagger their ways thru 15.

Michael Johnson's last big W was against Poirier in 2016. since then, became 3-7. These 3 W's were against

0-3 Alan Patrick
Artem ******* Lobov
Andre Fili

Michael still managed to get a L against 2021's Clay Guida.

Mullarkey is not the next Anderson Silva, but can manage this. Johnson doesn't put a solid performance against solid competition since 2016.

I'm huge RDA fan, but i think he will lose tomorrow. he's already 38 and absorved a lot damage. I'm brazilian and he complains a lot in local media about the weight cut he had to make 155 in his carrer, that's why he made 170. He is motivated for a last title run, but I think his time is gone. His LW wins were against opponents in short notice as Renato Moicano and Paul Felder, top 20 guys. Those W's don't get me pumped.

And Fiziev is not champion material, but a solid top 5, and I think this is enough to defeat this RDA version. Probably will blitz and get an early KO.

he's tough af, solid top 5, but will be a gatekeeper, i guess. LW is so deep, and a fighter like him, will fail soon or later against top grapplers.  MMA is not math, so, if the ufc make a "easier" path to him, he can maybe fight for the title, but i don't see defeating Islam, Arman, Gamrotz...
