Pereira about to stamp himself a legit contender at 185 with another spectacular KO.
Bruno Silva is one of my fav fighters but if you get tagged by Beverly Hills Ninja, you're about to see some stars.
After this fight, Pereira could be 2 fights away from the title. Imagine a rematch with Izzy how great that would be.

Idk I lowkey feel like silva can do it. How many times have we seen kickboxing guys come to the ufc with tons of hype and flop? Now don’t get me wrong pereira is very good but he has little mma experience, sure silva is a favorable matchup because he will be willing to strike at range but mma is so different from kickboxing; the technique, the stance all have to be changed to adapt to mma. He’s still a very good striker but I think it will be more even than people think because silva has tons of experience in mma. There’s also the fact that pereira got grappled by michalidis for 3:30 minutes; silva isn’t a striker but he does have a black belt (think what you will if his ground game) and it wouldn’t totally blow my mind if he decides to grapple pereira; it’s mma crazier things have happened. Going back to the point about mma, yes pereiras striking base is enough to get him far, especially at MW where 85% have little to no grappling, but he’s still not experienced. This is Silva’s 30th pro fight while pereira is only on his 5th (really his 2nd because he’s only fought twice since 2016). He’s also out of his prime (at least one can only assume) as he’s 34 years old so who knows where he’s at physically. Finally, I know people don’t like Silva getting clipped but Jordan Wright (I hate it too) but that’s kind of wrights style; just rush you and try to ko. Yes, other fighters have disposed of him much easier but it is what it is. I also really like Silva’s chin and cardio. He’s only been ko’ed once and it was at HW on TUF so he’s got a pretty good chin. We also saw Sanchez dominate him with wrestling but his cardio pulled through and allowed him to get the third round ko. I’m sure his gas tank is fine but we’ve never seen pereira got the distance in mma and the clock is much longer than kickboxing. I’m sure it’s fine but not knowing someone’s cardio limits is always interesting. Pereira has freak power in his left hook and some of the highest level striking in the division but I think silva has the tools and experience to get a win here; would it at all surprise me if Silva’s gets ktfo? No, but I think he has a better chance than people will give him. The dudes got 19 ko’s so he’s got some freakish power of his own too. Just because pereira has never been ko’ed doesn’t mean it can’t happen, especially with those 4 oz gloves

I hear you, there's just certain fighters you watch and it feels like they have 'it'. I felt that way after seeing Pereira transition over. I also love love love the fact that he's been training with Glover for awhile, you can't ask for a better compliment to help not only his ground game and grappling, but overall MMA too. I think Pereira has even rubbed off on Glover and has been a big key to Glover's resurgence and run to the title.
Also, again, I love Bruno, but he did pop for some pretty serious stuff coming into the UFC, so there's no idea how long he may have been on the juice prior. He was also losing bad to Sanchez before coming back late.

Yeah that’s true idk. I just think it’s closer than others think. Pereira is good but I really really dislike the experience disadvantage the two have. Pereira isn’t like Giga or izzy where he has a lot of fights on his record before coming, he’s more like gokhan Saki (with ever so slightly more experience) where he’s this HOF kickboxer but has very little mma experience. Pereira is a stud for sure just still have a lot of question marks about the career. And for the juicing i feel like silva is still good without it but who knows, he could be on gear rn for all we know. And yes he was losing the Sanchez fight but losing because of wrestling, which pereira will not do. Even though it’s overshadowed by the flying knee, Silva was getting out grappled by a pretty **** fighter so it showed his lack of experience as well. I do like training with glover but I’ll believe the ground game is good when I see it; he’s definitely learning but idk if his tdd and grappling will be enough to save him should he get taken down
