More thoughts

Predictions: 8 of 10 Winners, 2 Perfect, 450 Points   |   Tied for 359th

I think another factor is the small Apex cage. Was a problem for Wonderboy against Belal and I think it will favour wrestlers/grapplers and those who strike better close range.

Another reason to pick Kattar over Giga and Bush over Slava (though I am very 50-50 on this). I am worried that Chookagian will also face problems against Maia in the smaller cage though I am picking her.

I think AlHassan also benefits from the smaller cage as does Brahimaj (who I am taking as an almost lock).
Also think that Michel Pereira could surprise and wrestle/grapple here, Salikov is older and getting slow and would be vulnerable to the ground game.

My final picks -
1. Kattar late KO (R3/4)
2. Chookagian Decision (Worried about this one)
3. AlHassan KO
4. Pereira submission
5. Rodrigues Decision
6. Algeo Decision
7. Royval late submission (R2/3)
8. Kakhramanov Decision
9. Brahimaj submission
10. Collier Decision
11. Bush submission (50-50 on this one)
12. Gomez Decision
13. Benitez KO
14. Barcelos submission (my lock of the card)
15. Holmes Decision

Any thoughts guys?

Predictions: 5 of 10 Winners, 0 Perfect, 265 Points   |   Tied for 2716th

I like some of those plays...I was on Al Hassan but thinking about it further if Buckley cracks him he's going to crumble....But Al Hassan is explosive and could land a flash headkick..which Buckley has been finished by....or a barrage of punch combos that look like Street Fighter...Someone is going to get KO'ed.

I also like the Brahimaj play....I'll take sprinkle on the sub prop but Court doesnt seem like a dude who will get submitted.

Court is DUSTY. Extremely dusty. He couldnt land a takedown on Carlos Condit and stood and banged with him and his nose was crooked within 2 mins....from an old washed up Carlos Condit...Low Fight IQ. I dont smoke cigarettes but I needed something to take the edge off after watching that fight. I got a good deal from Keith Peterson.

Michel Pereira seems like he takes his MMA game more seriously now...he still does the backflips for show but he is just a freak of nature....I was once worried about his cardio but that seems to have gotten better...Salikhov doesnt have enough volume and he's looked so so against Trinaldo and Starapoli.

If you think cardio will be a problem for Brito I suggest watching his tape. Dude can grapple and throw bombs all day. His scrambles are beautiful and considering he came from the regional scene where everyone has good JJ, which can drain your gas tank more and he was still able to go 3 rounds like it was nothing.

Algeo wins 1 way and that's a decision but it won't happen. He will be out pointed the whole fight . Brito keeps the pressure the whole fight. Whether it's clinching or octagon control because he throws bombs and switches to the body.

And why are people picking Collier? Sherman hasn't been finished in almost 4 years. He's been doing BKB as well so his stand up is crisp. I think he'll finish him in the 1st if not early in the second.

I’m going collier becauW chase Sherman may be the biggest disappointment I’ve ever seen. He looks good for one round but falls off a cliff afterwards. He’s looked like shut since he popped and collier, for as bad as he may be, can throw pretty high volume. He can keep this pace for three rounds which could gas Sherman out. Also for someone with 14 ko’s Sherman really doesn’t hit that hard so I don’t think he ko's collier

Yeah I’ve noticed I’ve seen Slava taken down in every fight he’s had, but he’s been able to get back up pretty easily. He had a really nice reversal when he got taken down and I’ve also seen him escape some deep sub attempts. But Austin Hubbard was able to out grapple bush, and if you can’t beat Hubbard in grappling, then you got some work to do (Hubbard has a known weakness for grapplers). Also I know he took that fight on short notice, but he looked gassed after just one round of standing. Pair that with 6 finishes and 5 of them in the first round leads me to believe his gas tank really isn’t all that great. Slavas isn’t that bad from what I’ve seen; he’s able to keep a pretty high pace. Bush never being finished doesn’t really bother me because Chris Duncan had never been finished before and that counter had him sleepin. The dude has over 300 combined amateur and pro kickboxing fights so I think he knows how to make people sleep; if he can’t ko him with head punches, slava has a great selection of body shots that could also stop him.

Also for salikhov vs pereira, Michel definitely has that advantage with grappling but it is important to note Muslim hasn’t been taken down since his debut. I think his opponents are like 0/10 or something on takedowns. Watching the alex Garcia fight, it just seems like an anomaly to me because no one has been able to properly time the takedowns like Garcia did, and even then Garcia had to work to get Muslim down; it’s not like he’s clueless on how to defend takedowns. Now granted, pereira is an athletic freak and very strong, but who knows if he will even shoot here. Salikhov may be low output, but he’s definitely the better striker here; everything he throws is calculated. I’m taking him with low confidence but I think if he avoids the takedowns he can win a point fight.

Also like others have said, I would recommend watching Britos regional fights; it shows a much different fighter than what was on contender series. I think he may have been nervous or something because he is very aggressive, has a good gas tank, and great bjj. He’s a threat anywhere the fight goes.

Predictions: 1 of 3 Winners, 1 Perfect, 75 Points   |   Tied for 3836th

Brown vs. Benítez
TJ Brown, DEC
Brown should be able to get a takedown and float to a victory. Especially having Krause in his corner, he'll be taking the easiest path to victory.

Pickett vs. Holmes
Jamie Pickett, DEC
Why the majority of Tap is picking Holmes, idfk.
