I also agree, after watching mcgee and Brady I do think it's closer than I earlier said. But I still think brahimaj will be better on the feet if it comes to it. But I'm hesitant to put money on it might sit it out and see where brahiman really is

I disagree. I think Brahimaj has better BJJ. Does not depend on the belt in MMA.

Brady does not get many submissions and he holds position more than anything. And he gasses out and gets reversed and loses position. Brahimaj has very smooth transitions and very nice finishes. I dont agree with you.

If you think the belt matters that much you need to rethink that. I have seen many instances where a brown belt submits a black.

@Duck ditto. Obviously, I don't care about downvotes and actively try and farm them, but the psychology of people handing them out to people because they disagree with a prediction is a bad indictment of the clientele here.  Especially when they downvote a post that obviously represents a significant time/ research input.

Maybe there was a time when it made sense, but it's obvious to me that the upvote/downvote system is just going to encourage people ( well, younger members anyway) to put zero effort into everything and will contribute to a downward spiral of post quality, and needs to be overhauled. Greg needs to think about the direction he wants this forum to go. Because it is devolving.

How am I supposed to give out the most downvotes of any user if we get rid of that system?

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 5 of 10 Winners, 3 Perfect, 350 Points   |   Tied for 1436th

Kattar vs. Chikadze
Giga Chikadze, DEC
Like how Chikadze determines pace and space with kicks. Think it will give Kattar great trouble when Chikadze is doing more damage due to his kicks and not being on the backfoot, has really good cage control and don't think Kattar can just rush in due to all of Giga's weapons.

Chookagian vs. Maia II
Katlyn Chookagian, DEC
Unless it's Andrade or Shevchenko i'm taking Chookagian; one of the best if not the best gate keeper to the title that has 0 chance of winning it lol.

Royval vs. Bontorin
Brandon Royval, SUB, R2
Two guys with good BJJ. Think I spam dog here lmao. rip

Sherman vs. Collier
Chase Sherman, DEC
Collier looked decent against Felipe but Felipe has low volume and so does Collier. Think a forward pressure 'high' paced, high punch count fighter will beat Collier in the DEC.

Brito vs. Algeo
Joanderson Brito, SUB, R2
Think this is gonna be a good war and a really fun fight to watch. Love the Chute Box guys think Brito catches him in a choke while on the back late into the 2nd.

Pickett vs. Holmes
Joseph Holmes, SUB, R2
Think Holmes follows his exact gameplan against Barnes in DWCS to a T. Takes Pickett down for every second until he tires out and submits. Don't let this can Pickett keep this streak alive pls.

Brahimaj vs. McGee
Ramiz Brahimaj, DEC
Brahimaj is a tough dude think his youth here and toughness can get it done against a legend in McGee. Also Court is another dog that is reasonable.

Brown vs. Benítez
Gabriel Benítez, DEC
Thought Benitez was looking good in that Quarantillo fightuntil he gassed hoping for a better showing but Browns is also a solid dog. Lots of dogs to pick from on this card. Imo

Bush vs. Borshchev
Viacheslav Borshchev, TKO, R1
Like Bush here but Slava has the wayyyy better upside; a hard hitting, sharp kickboxer at Team Alpha Male working his ground game improving. Thought he would get destroyed by Duncan due to his ground game but proved me wrong and I think he's brought me over to his side for at least this fight.

Kelleher vs. Kakhramonov
Saidyokub Kakhramonov, SUB, R1
Think Kakhramonov is just too fast on the feet for Kelleher, think he lights em up like a Christmas tree on the feet. Think him and Jones would both KO Kelleher in the 1st; just different breeds. Imo

Demopoulos vs. Juárez
Vanessa Demopoulos, DEC
Like Demopoulos and her strength of comp compared to the favorite I just saw get destroyed against somebody who I thought was okay at best and turned out to be true against Luana.

Thanks guys appreciate the feedback! Yeah it’s annoying seeing the downvotes but I think it’s the same two guys who downvote all my posts in the first place so it’s basically like receiving no downvotes lol!

Kattar vs. Chikadze
Calvin Kattar, TKO, R5
Death before picking Giga. If I fell on my sword, I might as well die there too.

Royval vs. Bontorin
Rogério Bontorin, DEC
Controversial opinion, but Brandon Royval is a glorified bayblade with natural athleticism and bat**** captain insano BJJ. I think any calm top tenner can take them out, and I think Bonforin definitely has the BJJ chops to survive.

Sherman vs. Collier
Jake Collier, DEC
Fat Collier is actually decent. I guess the moral of the story is be shredded or be fat, but don’t sit in between. Lukewarm is the worst way to serve heavyweights says the pillsbury dough boy.

Pickett vs. Holmes
Joseph Holmes, TKO, R1
Holmes beat my friend, so I’m picking him to win as an act of ethos to justify my buddy losing.

Guys guess what, we just had ANOTHER PULLOUT. Benitez had to pull out at least Charles Rosa is stepping in as a replacement but *** is going on. Did fighters forget they have to stay healthy

I think the ufc needs to go to fight island again. Omicron might not be as deadly but it’s far too contagious, literally everyone is getting it

The most overhyped man in a card is Borschev,  i do not see anything outstanding in his striking and no ground game. Bush has 4 subs so it will be interesting. I still pick slava but do not think it is 100% pick

Speaking about underdogs i must mention Pickett and Maia. Holmes is average, Chookagian is damn slow. And also i do not see anything good in Kakhramonov skills

Michel Pereira CANCELLED/NEW OPPONENT
Warlley Alves CANCELLED
Ilia Topuria CANCELLED

Watch out for these upcoming cancellations because they're all I have left!

please dont say maia winning lol. she is not that good and only has recognition for getting 1 round on shevchenko.in my opinion she lost her last fight against eye and plus chookagian already whooped her and i think she can do it again. the only way maia wins is a robbery or a submission

^ also what about kahkramanov skills aren’t good cuz he’s pretty much just better than kelleher in every other way lol. Idk if there’s bias or just lack of watching his fights but there’s some pretty obvious skill there

The line does kind of make sense because tj is a wrestler and Rosa is wayyyyy too content to lie on his back. If tj gets him down Rosa probably won’t get back up, but he is one of those guys who alternates wins and losses and is coming off of a loss. I also just think he’s too skilled to lose to a bottom feeder in tj brown. Tj should never be bigger than like -130 over anyone; I believe he’s lost everytime he’s the favorite
