I love Holloway's fights, and he's probably my favorite fighter to watch right now, but man his chin has taken so much damage. Watching this fight has made me nervous for him, he did really well but a lot of it is because his chin held up and he was able to just be a tank and keep rolling forward. I hope this dude is able to retire young and not end up like BJ Penn or Chuck Liddell.

This card had less fights as well so a lot of finishes here. I can only imagine how good holloway would be if he had knockout power. He takes damage but rolls with shots and partially blocks them a lot more than people think. Hard to be entertaining without taking damage. I don’t like the idea of holloway at 155. His cardio will be worse there and his lack of power means he can’t earn respect from people up there. Conor is the only person I’d want him to fight at 155

@Volatyle We should set up a real long game, maybe 3-5 UFC cards.

The one thing I like about this card was that the KO's wasn't just give me knock out, They have to earn the KO by finishing the favorite, Or they only a slight underdog, I personally find the one where the matchmaking set up one fighter to knock out the other to be quite boring, Look at last week card, Most of the main card went to decsion, But all were increable fights, This week were good fight and cool KO,

3 or 4 fight of the year contender in the last 3 week, Yan vs Sandhagen, Billy q vs Burgos, Gaeche vs Chandle and now Max vs Yair, Great fight recently

And 2 increable cards in a row, UFC is off the off season of a few weeks ago, A lot of competive fight the last 2 weeks

Herb Dean is a blight on the sport of MMA, another moment of hesitance that could be disastrous down the line. He initially went to stop the Rothwell fight, then changed his mind, stepped back and then changes his mind AGAIN when De Lima looked at him accusingly. Dude is embarrassing.

Wath the **** did Holloway do to have all those privillege? The guy get beat twice by Volks, secure victori over fighters with 0 grappling skills and no win in the recents years then Dana White said he want to give him a title shot.

Why did he dont have to face guys like Chikadze or Allen or evloev-topuria winner to deserve is shoot?

**** Dana White privillege!

Max would beat the absolute **** out of everyone you just mentioned. He deserves another title shot because he's beaten the **** out of everyone ranked.

Chikadze is getting fast tracked to the title without fighing grapplers way more than Holloway
Allen fights once a year and has fought one ranked guy
Evloev is barely ranked and hasn't beaten anyone ranked
Topuria is unranked and shouldn't be sniffing a title shot yet

Holloway is ranked 1, just beat the 3rd ranked guy, has beaten the 2nd and 5th ranked guys, and nobody but the champ at 145 has come close to beating him in the past, and didn't get a title shot until he won 10 straight

Holloway has literally earned his shot again, and he did not even mention it. Doesn't scream for a title shot and keeps it humble

Giga Chikadze and Arnold Allen lmao?? I'm sorry but beating Gilbert Melendez at the end of a 1-5 streak doesn't mean ****. Allen has 1 win over ranked opponents. His only relevant win is Yusuff. Allen's resume doesn't compare to anyone ranked above him. Giga's last fight was impressive but the dude fought Jamey ******* Simmons a year ago. Come on, Max hasn't fought someone that bad in over 10 years. And like Allen, he has 1 single win over a ranked opponent.

To put it in perspective, Allen and Giga combined in their entire careers are 2-0 against the UFC top 15. Max Holloway is 2-0 over top 5 opponents in 2021 alone. So *** did Giga or Allen do to earn that privilege over Max when they just barely started fighting the top guys?
