Gaethje was way too hectic. What happened to "fight force with force" though? Khabib seemed very focused to end this fast. Never seen him apply that much pressure to advance position and transition to sub attempts. But the fact that Gaethje couldn't last 1.5 rounds especially regarding his talk before the fight, is more than disappointing...

I guess Conor gets that title back and this time he might even be able to defend it...

I still wish we could have seen the Tony fight. I doubt Tony gets triangled in the second round like that.

Nah but Tony would have been outstriked to a clear unanimous decision

@Hyrm your out of your mind if you think Khabib outstirkes Tony. Everyone wants to act like Ferguson sucks because he lost one fight out of his last 12.

Ferguson is m'I favorite fighter, he is at the top of m'I list but objectivelly, at 36 years old he wont handle the takedown + striking mix that Khabib offer. Even if you forgot the ground fight Gaethje was loosing tonight. I think Ferguson could have beat Khabib 3 years ago but not now.

Tony wouldn't have beaten Khabib. He's too wild. That fight would have been a nurmy decision. Look at Tony's stats--specifically how much he throws vs how much lands, then look at Khabib's striking defense.

Tony would have been hunting for a sub all night that never came getting beaten up from guard.

Well that was a wash. But thanks to Khabib for one hell of a LW era.

I disagree with Hyrm and ImperatorFishrat face...

Tony and his coaches prepared specifically for Khabib  for years. They had strengthen certain areas and knew exactly how to attack Khabib when he would push Tony against the fence.
Tony was long enough - to cut up  Khabib with elbows. If Conor McGregor  gave Khabib a hard time in his first  few attempts to Takedown.  Tony would definitely do more damage and even possible submit him.

I'm still baffled as to how two judges saw the first round for Gaethje! Just baffled!
