Maness vs. Munoz Jr.
Johnny Munoz Jr., SUB, R1
Does Munoz have an advantage stepping in on short notice against a fighter who was prepared to fight someone else? Sure, he was a grappler, but still. Maybe Munoz will come in with a nothing-to-lose-attitude and go all-in to get the submission. Maybe he will get it. Maybe early in the fight.

Predictions: 3 of 8 Winners, 1 Perfect, 200 Points   |   Tied for 1676th

I mostly agree with you, I and like your way of thinking but I do disagree on two points:

1. Gutierrez vs. DurdenCody Durden, SUB, R3
Chris has a soft record. The new generation of MMA people.

Chris may have a soft record but doesn't Cody have a softer one? I think overlooking a three fight win streak in the UFC (admittedly against entry level opponents) for a good but regional scene record is a little off beat. I think Chris is the favorite for a reason, but who knows, maybe I'll eat crow.

2.Luque vs. BrownRandy Brown, TKO, R2
Take some more time off Luque. God damn. War after war after war. Granted wonderboy fight was more of a one sided clinic, but Luque took a lot off damage still. I’ll pick Brown as a value dog.

Luque could probably use more time off from the Price fight, but I thought his skill level looked great in his last outing. Out of Luque's last five only losing to Stephen Thomson is pretty good. I hate to do MMA math but Luque did just beat Price, and Price beat Randy Brown, but then again that was 2 years ago.

I really like to see your picks and your reasoning. Now that I'm posting this I'll be wrong on both haha. Cheers men, enjoy the fights tomorrow.

Emmers vs. Cachero
Jamall Emmers, SUB, R2
My, oh my. How the bout has turned. I got my boy Emmers here. The problem I had with him at first was knowing his strategy. I don't know if he has one. But now, he's just a bit better everywhere. I'm going for a sub, cus there's limited ground work from vincent. But ****, knowing Jamall, he'd probably get me a unanimous decision.

You’re not wrong. I usually pick dogs when I can justify the odds. My tap picks aren’t really my confidence picks. They reflect my betting inclinations. In reality Luque probably gets it done, I do see him having round one trouble with the reach though. As far as the Durden fight, again you’re correct, but I think Durden has a recipe for beating Gutierrez who typically folds in a pressure match where he can’t use his kicking game, so the three to one odds justify a small shot IMO.
