Prediction Comments

Predictions: 5 of 8 Winners, 2 Perfect, 315 Points   |   Tied for 267th

Brunson vs. Shahbazyan
Edmen Shahbazyan, TKO, R2
Can Brunson survive 1st round Edmen? I hope so. It would be interesting.

Calderwood vs. Maia
Jennifer Maia, DEC
*Sigh* JoJo, If I were you, I'd wait for the title shot. Not take a fight you could totally lose. It's just not smart.

Luque vs. Brown
Vicente Luque, TKO, R3
Picking Luque. Brown has durability issues. If Luque just keeps coming and coming, I could see brown hurt.

Green vs. Vannata II
Bobby Green, DEC
Straaaaaight pick em. It all comes down to vannata. Will he be groovy? Or passive. Not gonna bet to find out. I already know what I'm getting from bobby. Thing is

Herman vs. Meerschaert
Gerald Meerschaert, SUB, R2
Soooooo, after looking over things again, it really comes down to the 1st round. If Herman hits him with something, oh man. If Gerald get him down or starts using BJJ, it wouldn't be good for Herman. I'm picking Herman, because at the end of the day, he needs to knock Gerald out. Gerald should win this.

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 5 of 8 Winners, 1 Perfect, 290 Points   |   Tied for 452nd

Brunson vs. Shahbazyan
Edmen Shahbazyan, DEC
I'm slowly becoming a fan of this Shahbazyan kid. I still can't believe he's only 22, because he doesn't fight like a kid, he fights like a well experienced veteran, which only adds to the scary factor that this kid possesses. I still am not 100% sold tho, and maybe after this fight, if he continues finishing fights in spectacular fashion, or even puts together a solid display of domination from bell to bell, I'll be forced into stop selling him short. Still think Brunson is a huuuge step-up, and then considering its the SMALL CAGE inside the Apex, that's absolutely going to favor Brunson. I'm not gonna lie, I can see Brunson KO'ing this kid and putting the hype-train in jeopardy. Which is why I think I'm gonna play it safe and take Edmen by Decision. I actually think this fight could look pretty similar to Shahbazyan vs. Darren Stewart.

Luque vs. Brown
Vicente Luque, TKO, R3
My pick for "Fight of the Night". I see nooo way it couldn't be.

Emmers vs. Cachero
Jamall Emmers, TKO, R2
The size discrepancy is near comical here... Looks like a Welterweight next to a Bantamweight. Emmers is a tough ask, and that's without the size difference.
