Predictions: 3 of 8 Winners, 0 Perfect, 165 Points   |   Tied for 2157th

Joanne Calderwood   vs.   Jennifer Maia

Jennifier Maia, apart from being a singularly and unfortunately ugly woman punches like a mongoloid eats alphabet soup, and I don't think she's really got anything for Calderwood. She also struggled to make weight and less than a year ago and was shaking on the scales like a rub-a-dub with delirium tremens and a bad case of stage fright on trial for war crimes at the Hague. She's simply too fat for the division, and does not belong their any more than spandex in a senior's aerobics class. She'll gas about 7 minutes in and will probably get finished early/mid R3. Neither myself, nor anyone else in the world will care, or will think better or worse of Joanne ipso facto.

Ed Herman   vs.   Gerald Meerschaert
KO/TKOR1.

The ******ness of Meerschaert is peculiar in two regards: it is not immediately appreciable, and after it has matured with the fullness of time leaves behind a kind of depressing psychological  watermark as a result of having spared time dwelling on its particularities. That is to say, it is not like being instantly reviled when, having lifted a rock, you find on the bare earth beneath a centipede eating a worm surrounded by mating ants. The experience is more akin to slowly becoming aware that someone (who will never admit to nor take any action to address it) has **** themselves on a crowded bus, and trying to place the culprit.

Herman by finish. Early.

Brunson vs Shahbazyan

Predictions: 2 of 5 Winners, 0 Perfect, 115 Points   |   Tied for 2618th

IMO Shahbazyan deserves to be ranked number 9, however we all know that there is a huge gap between number 8 (Brunson) and all the fighters ahead in the top 7. So he still has whole lot to prove.

What I'm trying to say is, this is a big test for Shahbazyan but let's not think he is a title challenger if he beats Brunson. It's a step towards the progression of his career and that's it.

Don’t understand the Meerchaert circle jerk. Dude struggled against midget Deron Wynn until Wynn gave up and let himself get sub’d. Meerchaert was KO’d on June 6th last month no way his chin has healed up. And he’s moving up a weight class fighting a guy on a two fight win streak. Herman is in shape and motivated based off his social media posts. I’m betting the guy that hasn’t just been KO’d and isn’t a hail mail meme sub guy.

@free I actually think Brunson is the gatekeeper to the monsters of the division because bellow Brunson is Uriah Hall and above him is Gastulum,Hermansson Till ,Canonour ,Romero, Costa , Rob and Izzy and Jacure unofficially. Think Edman if he given the right matchup could beat some of them because Edman a killer 2 but is probley a little green and training with head movement himself could be a red flag fighting the top of the top

No offense to Brunson but he is more physically gifted than skillful.
Uriah hall is almost opposite he would beat almost all of midi in karate or kickboxing.
Ed is the new best boxer but his kicks are pretty slick too, and grappling is at least good.
he will destroy gasser, only brunson and the elite grapplers have an edge on him.
Brunson has the quick twitch explosive power...or did he may be as washed up as anderson.
That is why I switched to ed for ko he wont rush in and get power bombed esp by older slower shop warn guy.
He is super composed and calm for a young guy and takes and has taken little damage so far.
The Big guys also will present him a new problem, Yoel and Costa maybe Marvin Marvin too.

I think Canonnier vs Vettori is the fight to make. Barnburner. I'd take Vettori in that one though. He's the real dark horse of the division.

O'madsen is a 55er and Chimaev is 70. Who would be forced to go to a different class to make this happen?

Brunson vs Shabadabalazyan

Predictions: 3 of 8 Winners, 1 Perfect, 190 Points   |   Tied for 1842nd

I'm in a weird spot about this fight, on one hand I think that the bullrushing Derek would have had a better chance of winning since he could have overwhelmed an Edmen who, like most of his peers at Glendale, suffers from porous defence at times, granted his natural ability has been more than enough to carry him so far. But on the other hand, this cool, calm, collected and boring Brunson is a better test to see where Shahbazyan's skills lie at the moment.

Does he have bad cardio? Grunson (Gameplanning Brunson) will take advantage of that. Will he try to wrestle like he did against Stewart if he gets cracked? How good is his wrestling exactly? Does Edmond finally have a pupil who heeds his sagely advice? Lots of questions will be answered on saturday night.

PS: I'm not attacking Derek for having gone back to being boring, I have Kamaru as my av ffs.
