Corners are overrated imo. I'm pretty sure a lot of fighters would do just as well without the distraction of having to decipher what 3 people are shouting at the same time whilst trying to evade a head kick.
Also, lately it seems they can't be trusted to throw in the towel even when you give them hints like "my teeth are falling out" or the more subtle "call it."

I value (most) Corners more for the in between round adjustments or outside perspective of how the fight is going. That is where its going to cost him. Same thing with Diego Sanchez. During the round its fine but when you come back to the stool and you get absolutely zero advice on what do change or try or do. that to me is the big part of not having a proper corner. With no fans it may play a bigger role during rounds now that you and your opponent can actually hear them.

Edit: Cost him in the future that is. I don't see him losing this one at all corner or not

I completely disagree. Maybe if you have bad corners, but in my experience having a good corner can be as impactful as have an extra two weeks on your camp. For a recent example just look at Gaethje v Ferguson. Having a good corner who knows you and you can trust us like having a third eye in the fight.

I cringe watching Griffin fight and put himself in sticky situations, but I think he can take advantage of Zalal's inexperience potentially and catch him in something.

I think u guys misunderstanding this Mike perry situation. The girl is his head coach. Perry basically doesn't wanna pay coach's for what he See's as nothing. The ******* girl was holding pads for him it looked ridiculous. This is gonna be like his buddy Diego Sanchez hiring the guru life coach guy!

Predictions: 6 of 10 Winners, 3 Perfect, 415 Points   |   Tied for 438th

Poirier vs. Hooker
Dan Hooker, TKO, R3
I don't know about this fight?? Poirier has become a real high quality fighter over the past few years, especially his boxing. I do wander if he has it in him to get back to the title. What ai mean is it's tough to get to the title, it's even tougher to get within touching distance(Title fight, interim title, no. 1 contender) lose then pick yourself up and put in all the effort and hard work to get to the top all over again! I think Hooker has the style to deal with Poirier, all those feints! I think it'll play out similar to Joe Duffy vs Poirier, who was popping Poirier with right hands from distance all night, broke his nose and Poirier had to turn it into a clichfest and grind out the win. I think Hooker, unlike Duffy, can avoid the clinch and pick Poirier apart. I think he may need a finish because Hooker did tire in the Felder fight. Whatever happens I think we get a real good technical fight.

Gall vs. Perry
Mickey Gall, SUB, R1
Man, is Mike Perry who trolling the MMA community right now or has he actually lost his fookin mind!!!! This guy is actually having his girlfriend, who's still in ****** School Corner him!!!! How is this allowed!!!! People wanna get mad about Robert Drysdale but the UFC, Nevada Commission give this girl a licence to corner!!!!! Jeezz!!! As for Mickey Gall, I have never been a fan, he seems way too ****y for what he has achieved but I guess you can't blame a kid, which he was at the time, getting caught up in all the hype. Mike Perry should have enough that without any kind of camp, having his 20 year old college kid untrained girlfriend Corner him and apparently losing his mind live on Social media for the world to witness, despite ALL THAT! He should have enough to still KO Gall!!! I don't know though, it seems like if Gall has been working hard with a real camp, all signs show that he is, then he could easily take Perry down and choke him out! Perry is making this a hard choice!!!

Allen vs. Daukaus
Kyle Daukaus, SUB, R1
Can't help but feel Daukaus has way more of a better shot at winning than the odds or picks suggest.

Boser vs. Lins
Tanner Boser, DEC
Lins was so bad in his last fight he made people think Arlovski has new life!!!! Boser isn't flashy, not 1 bit!!! But he will outwork and outpoint Lins for a decision win

Griffin vs. Zalal
Youssef Zalal, DEC
Griffin was getting his ass kicked by Brown til he pulled off a hail Mary miracle sub! Zalal won't get caught
