I went back all the way to the 20th page and didn't see anyone who started a thread about movies. If there is one, just let this thread sink away into the abyss of thread history, but if not, this is something we can talk about. We've got one for every sport, music, and TV shows. So I figured might as well.

Pulp Fiction is decent at best, but what do you consider great?

I like movies like Godfather, Goodfellas, Once Upon a Time in America, The Shining, The Exorcist, Airplane, Naked Gun.   As with anything, it's all in opinion and all subjective because people like different things for different reasons. I guess it all the movies make you feel. I can like a movie like Joe versus the volcano and then find a cult movie that like Office Space dull.

All you mooks remind me of how much I love Dielegende simply for his taste in film. **** your opinions and how everyone has them, that's stating the obvious over and over again. Yes we all have our opinions, some of us have good ones, other bad ones and we have judgments on said opinions. We all have different perspectives blah blah blah.

I actually never loved Goodfellas as an explosive athletic Italian American that may come as a shock.

I wasn't saying I thought Pulp Fiction was decent at best, I was restating Pap's statement to ask him the question. But keep the downvotes coming *****s.

Pulp Fiction, for any time is absolutely incredible. I love it, one of the funnest movies of all time.

I really don't see anything that was in Pulp Fiction that was all that great.  No intimidating characters, too much hipster mentality and boring action. Nomad, saying an opinion is bad or good is again, an opinion. Haha.

No intimidating characters is an interesting critique. Though I would argue Jules is a pretty intimidating character when he wanted to be. I at like all of Tarantinos films. I have never sat through a full Tarantino film I didn't enjoy.

I watched it first in 95. Jules is just goofy. If you want to see a better version of slj then see Unthinkable.

I've seen unthinkable I enjoyed it when I watched the movie but it isn't one that stuck with me. In fact I almost forgot it existed until you just mentioned it. Torture interrogation under a ticking time clock, it's not hard to make a movie exciting with that premise.

My dude those are 2 different movies.  Given SLJ is the same in every movie.

I'm not reading all theset comments but who said there were no intimidating characters.  Seriously?  Name one Tarentino movie without intimidating characters.

To me, an intimidating character is a smart one and not a person who is prone to random violence.

Example, Nicholson is so much better that Ledger as he was not some idiot but one who had a big background in knowledge and how to use it.

@BigJ  I personally thought Odell in Jackie Brown was a more intimidating character than Jules was in Pulp Fiction.

Christoph Waltz in Inglorious Bastards was probably the most intimidating character of Taratino's.
