I went back all the way to the 20th page and didn't see anyone who started a thread about movies. If there is one, just let this thread sink away into the abyss of thread history, but if not, this is something we can talk about. We've got one for every sport, music, and TV shows. So I figured might as well.

Yes, everyone has an opinion. Some peoples opinions are stupid, ignorant, idiotic and most importantly wrong.

Welcome to that category sir. Go back on this thread however many pages you want, literally everything you say, sounds like it comes out of the mouth of a dumbass.

One of the dumbest sayings ever. Opinions are absolutely at sometimes wrong. That's just something idiots and PC people say to make others or themselves feel better.

You're a dumbass, and have no valid opinions. You're welcome for breaking it to you.

Opinions are subjective, not objective. One can have very a stupid opinion (you should know all about that Chase) but having a "wrong" opinion goes against the very definition of the term 'opinion' itself.

It works both ways, there's no such thing as a right opinion either. The moment an opinion becomes right or wrong is the moment in which an opinion ceases to be an opinion, and instead becomes a claim or statement. Claims need to be substantiated in order to be proven valid.

And this is where rappinpapsoda ****s up. Because claiming that the new Saw movie is feminist propoganda isn't an opinion, it's a factual claim that needs supporting evidence in order for the statement to be true. That isn't an opinion, that's just dumb.

TL;DR: You're both wrong, and you're welcome.

Now shut the **** up and go do something productive, for once.

Opinions can be wrong. Lets say after Stipe Miocic vs Mark Hunt you say in my opinion Hunt won that fight... well you are wrong. Now in terms of movies you can say I didn't enjoy that film or I did enjoy that film and either is just as valid. People hold false opinions all the time based on faulty information.  It all depends on how you state your opinion and how you hold your opinion.

Now back to movies I saw "45 Years" in effort to see everything nominated for an Oscar. I have to say I did not enjoy this film at all. It's critically acclaimed but I just found it to be dull. I've seen so many of these independent personal character sketch films I don't find them unique at all, in a effort to be non Hollywood they are starting to become cliché in the way they are delivered.  The whole conflict in the film felt rather trite.

Another highly touted and super hyped indy film I watched was "Anomolisa." Again I left disappointed as it was touted as a brilliant and powerful film etc etc. I have liked Charlie Kaufman's work in the past and though I didn't hate "Anomolisa" and found it interesting it is the same on screen therapy session Kaufman always delivers. Being John Malkovich, Adaptation,  Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, all deal with the psychological affect of unrequited or dysfunctional relationships. Even though having Tom Noonan voice everyone other than the main characters is interesting expression of the protagonists state of mind it still feels gimmicky.

Actually Anik, I never said was a fact. That is where you are wrong.
You fell into the trap of deciding what is factual evidence which in itself it an opinion. That is why judges have opinions.

@Bigj383 Just because someone says "in my opinion" doesn't make the statement an actual opinion. If you were to say that in your opinion, Mark Hunt won the fight vs Stipe Miocic, you'd have to substantiate that claim with evidence because you're not making a subjective claim, but an objective one.

People talk but they don't even know the meaning of their words.

@rappinpapsoda You didn't understand what I said, and I'm not going to be bother making you understand. What a shame, I hate wasting my time on people who can't think.

EDIT: As for what movie you were talking about, I don't really give a ****. I was targeting your misuse of the word 'opinion', that's all.

o·pin·ion əˈpinyən/
noun plural noun: opinions
  1. a view or judgment formed about something, not necessarily based on fact or knowledge
I would think a view on the outcome of a fight that goes the distance is definitely opinion. It may be an unfounded opinion but opinion none the less. Even what the judges offer up is simply their opinion.

Watched Concussion yesterd.  Not usually a big Will Smith fan but he was really good in this. It was a pretty good movie though a little emotionally manipulative. Pretty damning of the NFL but I don't give a **** about football so it didn't bother me that they were portrayed the way they were. Most people know the NFL doesn't care that much about the health and safety of its athletes.

Saw Ride Along 2 today. I wasn't a real fan of the original but I actually liked this one a little bit more. Kevin Hart is still pretty obnoxious but he offers up quite a few funny moments as well. He and ice Cube have a good dynamic together. Of course comedy is the most divisive genre in film.

Just saw "Dirty Grandpa" is this what passes comedy now? It makes "Bad Grandpa" look like highbrow sophistication and makes a movie like "Tammy" look like "The Shawshank Redemption" in comparison.  0/10
