As for the display on the right of when the deadlines are approaching: We know it's confusing and will have a better solution soon. It's just not ready yet. When you go from 3 events in a weekend to 15, certain features begin to have problems and this is one of them.
Regarding your last question, "would be be THAT hard to put the in the order of when they lock?" Yes actually. It's far more complicated than you might think.
