Matheus Nicolau, DEC
Idk why. I have some sort of feeling that Nicolau is somehow gonna pull this off and edge out a DEC win here. Kape can't seem to make weight which would make a 5 rounder even tougher to do if the fight gets griddy.
Spann vs. Guskov
Bogdan Guskov, TKO, R1
I see either Guskov knocking him clean out or Spann getting the SUB. Hoping for a Spann "W" here.
Silva vs. Lipski
Karine Silva, TKO, R2
Silva by whatever she wants. Imma say she gasses Lipski by grappling & when she's unable to SUB her, she'll unleash GNP hellfire for the win towards the middle of the 2nd RD.
Alvarez vs. Rębecki
Mateusz Rębecki, TKO, R2
via GNP
Diniz vs. Lane
Jhonata Diniz, TKO, R1
Without a doubt in my mind. Lane getting flat-lined.
Hubbard vs. Figlak
Austin Hubbard, DEC
Likely a lock.
Mayes vs. Machado
Caio Machado
Machado for sure. I see an obese HW back & forth scrap for 3 RD's or Machado snatching up a SUB later in the fight if Mayes gets gassed.
Llontop vs. Green
James Llontop, DEC
Llontop over 1 1/2 EZ
Souza vs. Mann
Ketlen Souza, DEC
Souza for sure since Mann has no finishing potential & hasn't even won on DWCS

Good for Nicolau: I expect him to comeback stronger, make the work (First or Second Round Submission) against Perez and stay in the Top 5 of the division.
I think the most affected is the FW’s title picture where with Royval 0-2 against Pantoja, Moreno 0-3 and in time-off, Albazi injured, KKF to losing streak, Nicolau Fighting against 3-Loss streak Perez, Kape with two canceled bout in 2024 and Mokaev ranked as #7. The Next Challenger is real unclear.
bout status update
Nicolau vs. Kape II Changed from Confirmed to Cancelled

These guys were already booked to fight once. Is it really such a bad thing that they're going to fight 2 extra rounds? How many times do we have to see top 10 guys in any division have a close 3 round fight? These are the kind of fighters that, from a skill perspective, you should want to see fight longer than 15 minutes. 15 minutes usually isn't long enough for guys that are this good.
I think Perez showed he can still hang against Mokaev. He only had just over 10 minutes of cage time over 4 calendar years leading up to that fight. He had more cage time against Mokaev than he did against his last 4 opponents combined. He had some serious cob webs to shake off. He's no spring chicken but he's also not Tim Elliot. At 32 I think he's still got enough left in the tank to beat somebody like Nicolau.
I actually think this is a very competitive fight. The bigger issue I think is whether Perez will actually make it to the scale. I think its very fair to question whether a guy who's completely missed 2 of the last 4 calendar years can fight twice in a span of 6 weeks.

Just like Dolidze and Imavov (well he was 0-1, 1NC) when they headlined Fight Night with a fight that was not pivotal for the MW Division and let it be said it was a pretty bad fight.
I'm not going to lie to you, the 2 WMMA Main Events weren’t good fights: too much sloppiness on feet (especially by Blanchfield vs. Fiorot). But Flyweights are guys with explosiveness, good technique and generally well rounded.
And those are things that most middleweights don't know.

Matheus Nicolau, DEC
I see a DEC for Nicolau. Perez seems to get subbed quite a bit, but I think his wrestling background will help him out quite a bit here & Matheus isn't one to snatch up many subs, really. I'm interested in the betting odds & props for a lil Perez KO tho.

Matheus Nicolau, SUB, R1
I'm sad that this isn't Nicaolau vs Kape 2 but this is a good fight. Hopefully Nicolau gets a nice finish here, would be dope
Spann vs. Guskov
Bogdan Guskov, TKO, R2
I'm surprised they made this fight. Spann has already lost to Anthony Smith twice
Alvarez vs. Rębecki
Mateusz Rębecki, DEC
This fight is so badass! Hoping for a war here.
Hayisaer vs. Benítez
Maheshate Hayisaer, DEC
This fight could be sick
Pearce vs. Onama
Jonathan Pearce, SUB, R2
Good fight for an prelim!
