Not so much bouncing back from picks as from bets. I will often do great in picks and bad in bets and vice versa. I bet against who I think is the most likely winner if I see a path to victory and a chance to win for the underdog that leaves a good margin on the line.

Takeaways from the card

Gaethje is the best striker at lightweight but I still don't trust him against guys who can grapple. Sadly, porier should retire. He isn't washed by any means but it seems like the perfect time. Jan could have won that fight but I'm glad we get jiri vs Pereira & I have no idea who would win. So happy Derek lewis won but him waiting until the end of his career to get in shape is peak MMA heavyweight IQ. Hopefully the ufc resigns him. Tony didn't look as bad as I thought he would but I hope he retires. Chiesa pulled off the most soy performance this year as I expected he won. Thank God he'll never hog up the rankings again 👋

I think Poirier should move up to welterweight. He has more fun matchups in that division and he has been hinting to do it in the past. It just would make more sense for him to do it.

Suprise, so many people thought Jan won the fight, it was close, but clear IMO, he did **** all with his control in round 2-3 and lost on damage

Poirier definitely should not retire. He should go up a weight class, get a couple of wins, and then walk off at age 36/37. He should be focusing a winnable fights and money now. That head kick was brutal, and I don't want to see his chin start to go bc he's still trying to be champ
