I thought the same bro but I just did some research and found a study that 50% of those admitted to hospitals with it died within 28 days (was mostly people of older ages) but reading more about it, that **** is ******* scary only about 27 percent return to full independence 90 days after and many suffer from recurrent strokes that **** is ****** bro Luque needs to retire soon or now the bearings he have taken are seriously going to affect his life long term

I would be way more confident in Luque if it wasn't for this late news about him.

He's bigger than RDA, is better offensively on the feet, and in one of his last interviews, I heard that he's gonna try to use more of his ground game instead of brawling like a stupid mofo.

I'm still leaning 55/45 Luque though.

I think RDA beats Luque. I didn't like the injuries from the damage he got last time

I'll definitely be pulling for Luque but I'm finding it all but impossible to pick him in a fight that, if it were booked 2 years ago, I think he wins without question because of his size, reach and power. But man, his last two fights were hard to watch.

Belal beat his ass and I was honestly taken a back how bad he looked in that fight. Yes, Belal has steadily improved overtime into a complete fighter but Luque just got outclassed (2/3 judges had him losing 4/5 rounds). He then came back 12 weeks later, way, wayyyyy too soon, and then proceeded to get his ass beat even worse by Geoff Neal. I remember being dumbfounded Luque was allowed to come back and fight again so soon. Him developing a brain bleed after that fight really isn't surprising at all. That fight probably should have never been booked.

RDA is also 38 years old and not really a welterweight. The question is literally just whether Luque is healthy enough to still be fighting at all. If he's healthy, he could easily win this fight.

@foppa luque looked almost scared to engage against belal. That fight was sooo weird by him. Even when he rocked belal in round 3 he didn’t capitalize at all; almost like he resigned to losing a decision

He outstruck Belz in both fights koing him bad in first fight getting laid on in rematch.
His brawling style just costs him a lot of damage.

Poor Mckinney, it might be the end of his ufc run

Predictions: 9 of 13 Winners, 2 Perfect, 515 Points   |   Tied for 2636th

Terrance seems to be able to only fight for 1 round :(... Either he gets a 1st round finish, or he will get destroyed again in the 2nd round. Mike Breeden has a similar style to Mckinney's past 2 opponents (Sadykhov and Bonfim), cuz he's a very tough with good pressure and cardio

Sheeesh. I didn't know the prognosis for hemorrhages was that grim. With all due respect, I don't understand how someone can take life threatening damage like that and return to fighting. You've either gotta be stupid or dead broke, and even then, I'd much rather be broke than decomposing in the ground. If I understand the stats, he already isn't likely to see his 40's, so hoping Luque gets quickly subbed and retires. It's insane that he was cleared by a doctor; he needs treatment and time with his loved ones, not more blows to the head. As much as I love this sport it really is unethical

Luque vs. dos Anjos
Vicente Luque, TKO, R3
I think Luque gets a third round KO/TKO.

Swanson vs. Dawodu
Hakeem Dawodu, DEC
I think Hakeem Dawodu wins with his striking skills.

Rountree vs. Daukaus
Khalil Rountree, TKO, R1
This should be a brutal knockout win for Rountree.

Marshall vs. Dulgarian
Francis Marshall, DEC
I think Francis Marshall gets back in the win column.

Parisian vs. Buday
Martin Buday, DEC
I think Martin Buday wins an uneventful decision.

yeah, RDA may be old and have more mileage than a 98 civic that El Jefe is driving but RDA should have no problem against him.

Luque vs. dos Anjos
Rafael dos Anjos, TKO, R1
A brain hemorrhage is no joke, and whoever sanctioned this fight needs to be booted. RDA is going to slaughter Luque, who'll come back with a completely shot chin.

Swanson vs. Dawodu
Hakeem Dawodu, DEC
Should be fairly light work from Dawodu. Cub isn't completely out of it, but Hakeem is a few cuts above what he can handle in terms of technical striking and physicality right now.

Rountree vs. Daukaus
Khalil Rountree, TKO, R1
Moving down won't cut it for Daukaus. His one strength at heavyweight was his hand speed, and he won't have that advantage over pretty much any decent LHW here.

Daukaus is supposedly a black belt in BJJ. Does he know how to wrestle/grapple at all? Not sure I've ever seen him attempt a takedown or even go for a submission. I ask because it's no secret how bad Rountree is on the ground. Would be Daukaus best path to victory by far

After quickly reading up on what a "brain bleed" is I've come to the conclusion that it's a term that's too broad and colloquial to give any direct indication of its severity. Specifically, it matters a lot if the bleed is in the brain itself and where or whether it's inside of the cranium but residing in connecting tissue between the cranium and the brain proper.

So in other words, while a "brain bleed" is never good we don't really know how severe an injury Luque has sustained and how it might affect him going forward unless we have more specific information.
Of course we know his style of fighting is extremely dangerous for his health but it's difficult to say how affected he is from it right this moment.

Betting on Terrence so sketchy. All his opponents have to do is make it past round 1 and it’s a automatic win.

Honestly I think Luque might have had his Ferguson/Gaethje moment in that Geoff Neal fight. I don't think he comes back the same. My guess we are going to see a guy whose synapsis can't fire quick enough to tell him to throw/block a punch without a delay. I'm going RDA in this one.

Idk man a trauma induced (likely epidural) brain bleed that kept a fighter out for over a year seems pretty straight forward to me. It's, ughhhh....not good.

@gilese me personally when I hear the words “brain bleed”, I don’t think of it as something mild. Anything that causes blood vessels to burst in the head, whether directly in the cranium or not is still very serious. Internal bleeding can kill anyone no matter how serious

Also considering it happened because of blunt force trauma, going right back to getting punched in the head doesn’t seem very smart to me
