Went back to watch the Guram finish and that clash of heads didn't look like it did all that much damage. At least not enough for me to question that finish

oh 100% brener was landing way harder punches than that one in the fight, and the way guram just suddenly got hurt by a guy who had 1 ko on his record. Legit for anyone highly recommend they watch the reply and you’ll see how bad the head clash was, that’s mma just feel bad for guram

Leg locks (all types) are still one of the best tools in MMA. The problem is not many practice for them specifically, and commit too much to a leg, leaving them open for punches. The key is free flow transitioning between them and full commitment to attempting them at the same time, and that takes a lot of practice to get right.
