Makhachev vs. Volkanovski II
Islam Makhachev, DEC
Logical pick is Islam, but I'll root for Volk. The man has some balls of steel to take a fight like that on short notice.

Usman vs. Chimaev
Khamzat Chimaev, SUB, R2
I don't really know if Khamzat is gonna take Kamaru down at will, but if manages to take him down one single time, he can for sure sub Usman if there's enough time on the clock. Otherwise, if the Khamzat that fought Burns shows up, he's gonna suffer with the boxing of Kamaru. Anyway, mad respect for Kamaru.

Damn, this is a dangerous fight for khamzat. Usman is gonna be hungry to get back a W after losing 2, and after seeing khamzat get dropped by burns, idk.....

Makhachev vs. Volkanovski II
Alexander Volkanovski, TKO, R2
Mind says Makhackev Volk has all the odds stacked against him but I’m hoping he chins him. Aussie, Aussie, Aussie !!

Usman vs. Chimaev
Khamzat Chimaev, SUB, R1
Usman gives up his back and is not prepared for the move up to middleweight Khamzat is a good sized middle weight and with him bulking he will have a clear strength advantage which i can see him using to takedown Usman getting the back and sinking in a RNC early. Dominant Performance

Aliskerov vs. Alves
Ikram Aliskerov, TKO, R1
Alves taking this fight on short notice bit **** was looking forward to seeing the imavov matchup, see him setting up alves similiar to the Phil Hawkes knockout

Yu Frey vs. Dudakova
Victoria Dudakova, SUB, R1
Good test

This card just got whole a lot interesting now!

Predictions: 9 of 13 Winners, 1 Perfect, 530 Points   |   Tied for 962nd

I think this is a way better matchup for Khamzat than Costa, fighting a former dominant champion like Usman will definately tell us a lot about him. Usman is not some bum that I see going out there and getting steam rolled. I think this will be a bit competitive in the first round or so but Once Chimaev is able to get that takedown, I can see him getting that body lock in and getting in that RNC. I will call a RNC in round 2 likely. Usman's takedown defence is 97%. But I am not sleeping on Umsan either, dude has all the experienced and the level of competition between the two is not even close. However Khamzat should be able to get it done. Could even go to decision. Its a 3 round fight. Not going to bet on this. Just going to sit back and enjoy it. GL to all of you who are betting Khamzat at -300 or over!

Exciting replacement. Volkanovski is always in great shape, so the short notice shouldn't be a huge factor. I think it will be kind of close again, but Volk should win this (again).

Usman vs. Chimaev
Khamzat Chimaev, DEC
Wow, I'm glad they saved the Chimaev fight, but this is a tough fight for Usman.

Aliskerov vs. Alves
Ikram Aliskerov, TKO, R2
Way more apropriate matchup for Aliskerov than a talented ranked fighter in Imavov...

Makhachev vs. Volkanovski II
Alexander Volkanovski, DEC
Idk what it is, but I have a sneaking suspicion and my gut is telling me that somehow, someway, Volk is gonna pull this off. I know the odds are stacked against him considering that it's on such short notice & in enemy territory, but this time he knows what to expect, although, as does Makhachev. Volkanovski is one of the most technical fighters in the game right now, probably right behind Jones in my humble opinion. Even though Makhachev is the younger of the two, I just see Volk's Fight IQ being something that is able to have him make certain changes to 100% guarentee the judges to swing his way on the scorecards this time around. Although Volk hasn't had a full training camp in this situation, he is usually training consistently and prepared for anything coming his way & must've known that the rematch w/ Islam was going to be coming sooner or later.

Usman vs. Chimaev
Khamzat Chimaev, TKO, R1
I see Khamzat winning by some sort of finish for sure. This is a bout we've been waiting ages for and if Usman was still champ by the time this fight was made, I was going to predict Chimaev to be the one to dethrone him if no one else did. That being said, it's been 3 years since those thoughts & predictions began and only think it's going to be easier for Khamzat considering it seems that the age factor & time in the game has gotten to Usman's body. His joints and knees are worse than ever before & that's only going to worsen Usman's chances at his best game of winning this: his wrestling. Either way I don't see Usman getting someone like Khamzat to the ground but that def isn't the case now w/ where both are @ in their careers. I predict Chimaev by uppercut KO in the 1st RD. Also something to consider technically would be this bout being Usman's first in the Middleweight division in the UFC whilst Chimaev has teetered between both Middle & Welterweight divisions respectfully.

Makhachev vs. Volkanovski II
Alexander Volkanovski, DEC
I think Islam has more chances and tools to win this, but Volk is stronger mentally. He's unbreakable, has endless cardio, is probably in a happy flow state of perfect opportunity to get what he wants; meanwhile Islam is more like a very good student and excels really in doing what his masters want, i feel that pressure will break him sooner or later.

Usman vs. Chimaev
Kamaru Usman, DEC
This one is to emotional for me - i respect fighting skills of Chimaev but hate him as a human being, i really hope that Usman will get the W in classic Marty way - by holding Borz, stomping on his foot etc. Usman will take him down after Chimaev gasses. Usman has little to lose here - everyone already regard his as "washed" and he wants to prove othervise or die trying, respect him for that. Chimaev feel that his hypetrain in jeopardy, he must now win against long time champion while having limited experience in such high level fights. I know he looks like a psychopath with no fears and doubts but i believe this goblin feels all the pressure on him in this matchup.

It's weird the two main fights are now the match ups I wanted but it just feels like a waste because Volk and Usman are coming in on like 10 days notice. It's a shame I wish everyone was coming in with a full camp and see some really competitive fights.

I wonder where Charles goes from here, he isn’t injured, all he needs is for the cut to heal. I’m thinking Gamrot or a Gaethje rematch early 2024. He can’t sit out for a title shot because Islam is looking he only wants to fight in Abu Dhabi right now. I do think Charles will win both of those matchups ultimately getting another shot at the belt. Maybe if he wins impressively we could see the fight in Brazil, he would have done more than enough to deserve it at that point. I absolutely love Volk and this rematch, I just fear this could have been Charles’ last chance.

It’s a double edged sword, if Volk and Usman wouldn’t have stepped up, this card would have gone to ****. Either Poirier getting a title shot after getting KTFO or Gamrot headlining a ******* PPV, and who knows if Khamzat would even be fighting. Say they move Ikram up for him for the rematch, it wouldn’t be near as hyped with Ikram having one UFC win compared to if he went on a little run. I agree it really sucks we don’t get to see these fights with full camps, but we would all be on here complaining like hell if we got those other matchups.
