Its easy to just claim a guy is "unprofessional". Changing your body chemistry for the sake of athletic competition is not linear nor is it easy. To really get down a weight class in combat sports is a combo of genes and behavior change.
The behavior change part is the thing that takes a lot of time. Its not one thing either like "eat less pasta, run an extra mile". In reality there's a lot of small lifestyle changes that all culminate towards making you a better athlete.
I think PRods team asking for an extra 3 weeks to try and make weight shows hes at least trying to make some changes but just isn't there yet. The fact that he wouldn't accept a catchweight shows hes probably not close. He may have been able to make 160 but was just completely drained and didn't want to take the L.
I of course won't be surprised if he's cut, but in general I think brawler types are fun to have on the roster. Not to many fights id take PRod in at 170 though. If he wants to be successful in the UFC hes gotta figure this weight cut out.

I think this fight won't pass the second. If Jailton takes Bigi down, it's over. Shamil at least tried to defend the sub attempts, but Bigi is clueless on the ground.
I just hope that Bigi can stuff some takedowns, so we can see how Malhadinho is on the feet. He said in a few interviews that he started as a boxer cause of his father, so...

Imagine no dehydrated fighters looking like "zombies", imagine the hardest part of a fight was the actual fight and not the weight cut, imagine how much healthier and safer it would be for the fighters, how much easier it would be to get short notice replacements, how you wouldn't need an 8 week fight camp to get ready.

Just to be clear, we were scheduled to fight at 155(+1),
They asked for a catchweight so I agreed to fight him at 158, then they asked for 160 and I said Yes. I was about to go weigh in when I heard he was crying and losing his **** and quit at 162.
