Almeida vs. Bigi Boi seems like such a mismatch and style clash but it makes sense. Rozenstruik has already been rag dolled by Blaydes, so an opportunity for him to show he's made some improvements and isn't just a kickboxer.
If Almeida wins, especially if he gets another finish, I could see the UFC giving Almeida his first main event in the fall or summer against someone like Spivac.

Initially I thought almeida was making a mistake going to HW. But heavyweights are so terrible at grappling. Not necessarily wrestling but grappling is a huge hole in their games

Walker gets a lot of **** for being chinless, but he's still an extremely talented fighter who has added solid BJJ to his insanely dangerous striking. Lionheart is probably more well rounded, but he's long in the tooth, got mauled in his most recent fight (albeit by Ankalaev), missed weight horrendously when he was a backup fighter for Hill v. Teixiera, and he hasn't beaten a top LHW since 2019 (Spann and Crute are overrated it it shows). I think Walker has this in the bag as long as he takes this seriously.
Rozenstruik vs. Almeida

Damn Almeida is trying to speedrun to the top of the division isn't he? Considering that Curtis Blaydes dominated Bigi I think it's fair to say that his grappling will not hold up against Almeida.
Dern vs. Hill

I might change this pick multiple times before the fight happens. NOTHING about Angela Hill impresses me, but Dern has proven to be incredibly unreliable against decent competition. She would destroy Hill on the ground if she got the fight there and kept it there long enough, but the problem is she has no good way to get the fight to the ground. The Rodriguez and Yan fights proved this - Dern nearly finished both girls but struggled to get them in dangerous positions over the course of five rounds. That's a really bad sign in a three round fight. Both girls have really sloppy striking, but Hill's is slightly better and she has a higher output. I imagine a greazy split where Hill outpoints Dern with a scary moment or too making the fight close.

The only problem here is that Walker is so incredibly inconsistent for such a top level fighter, so his fights kinda feel like coin flips (to me at least). I can see how both guys have a path to victory here and I honestly think this fight ends inside 3-4 rounds simply because the chance for something weird to happen is high and a chance to capitalize off of a big mistake should present itself. Smith can get his emotions get to him and Walker can't control his energy too well, so this really is a fight of just whoever is better on that given night, I really don't think skills or experience or attributes like that will play a part in this, just whoever can survive the chaos.

The main event will be fun for as long as it lasts. Hard to believe the UFC is entrusting Walker to headline another main event. But he's on a two fight winning streak so he built his stock up a little bit after coming off those two horrendous main event losses

The man has the physique of Hispanic Hercules and conversely the striking power of a Ford Escort going exactly 2.5 MPH in a busy parking spot. Now I’m all up for a volume striker, but the idea of him keeping forward pressure on Ian Garry consistently without getting clipped hard is as disastrous a combination as putting two concrete bricks in a blender and throwing it down a flight of stairs. The man is not a technical striker, he’s not built to fight someone like Garry, he’s an above-it-all-****flinger who throws caution to the wind so he can piece you up. This matchup is often unfavorable, chances of him winning is flimsier than mannequin *****.
On top of that, check out his recent wins and notice how they all come with an apostrophe. He’s beaten a very late and mentally disturbed Mike Perry, short notice Preston Parsons, 0 - 2 Welterweight Kevin Lee, and a split over Li Jingliang 9/10 people thought he lost. Sure, he’s getting the wins, but he’s looking sloppy while getting them, and you can rarely afford ‘sloppy’ against someone like Ian Garry. I think Daniel is too tough to get KO’d, but he’s still ******. If you’re a masochistic ketamine addict looking to throw your money and pride away, bet the house on Rodriguez.
