take a good look, the beanie is off
athlete traded for merchant
100 air missiles compared to pot
her hash oil must have been DANK!
take that to celebrity non-American banks
calmly sipping Dave Chappelle's purple drank
they want Mike to trust the process
while everything around us tanks
and when its time for Paddy to fight
you know who temporarily mutes the mic
no one discussing these implications
our future is not looking bright!

what is also true is that many fighters look at Canelo's payroll, the money Fury earned in his last 2 fights or the payments AJ received for fighting an Abu Dhabi and think ''in boxing I can make millions'' C' Mon those that I mentioned and historical boxers like Floyd and Pacquiao represent 1% of the elite boxing level (multiple boxing champions and with great popularity). The average UFC fighter earned the same or even more than the average boxer.

Jake Paul tried to push a narrative that fighters are super under-paid compared to boxers paying Sarah Alpar's camp: Alpar was a Lamb in her matchup against Erin Blanchfield and surely the 10K he received for fighting was the same or more amount of money that female boxers receive when they go in Lamb Matchups against female boxers like Caroline Dubois or Ramla Ali. PBK Kelly boxed Troy Williamson for the British title and I'm sure he received less than 100k in that fight. Gary Russell Jr. was a long-reigning champion in boxing and only earned a maximum of one million dollars per fight as pay because he was not a boxer with a large fan base. To those who say "but Floyd earned 100 million per fight", that is a great exception to the general rule: Great boxers and world champions such as the brothers Charlo, Spence Jr., Beterbiev, Inoue do not earn such fanciful figures for fights.

There are real goals that MMA fighters can fight for if they form a union or association: a retirement fund for fighters, better healthcare related to injuries or medical complications during fights or as a result of a fight, the issue of paying sponsors. (which has been greatly affected in the UFC by Reebok and now Venum as Exclusive Fight Wear in the Promotion) and even improve the minimum salary per fight. I do consider that fighters generate much more in tickets, TV views, ppv buyrate, social media interactions and with their same image more than what they are paid for in the UFC, but it's not like in boxing everyone earns millions for fights without involvement championships or no high PPV sales.

Does anyone seriously believe that a boxer who has more losses than wins as a professional, or the boxers who are wanted by a boxing promotion to inflate the record of a promotion prospect, or even the boxers who practically fight once every 2 months or every month, he actually earns much more than the UFC fighter, who makes his debut, loses 3 in a row and is released from his contract. Big changes can be made related to the money that MMA Fighters produces, but it must be based on realities and not self-generated fantasies.

No doubt you are right.

The fighters do need to be payed more though. The reason the UFC doesn't want to do that, apart from profits and greed is the Masvidal effect. You pay more, you take away the incentive to fight more frequently. Fighters will sit out longer if paid more. And the UFC having to fill something like 42 cards a year with 10 fight minimum can't risk that according to their ESPN deal

The thing is the people who rather see Topuria vs Mitchell are the people who are gonna buy(stream)the card anyway no matter the card because they watch every ufc fights, but Paddy is the most famous fighter on the card, so they get the most casual watching, it’s a smart business move because they make the most money

Mitchell vs. Topuria
Bryce Mitchell, DEC
I think Bryce Mitchell's has the superior grappling skills, and that gets him a decision win.

Agree completely Paddy has no business co main don't get the hype he is fun but most do a lot of social crap to get all these followers beating cans ain't the reason.
Bryce and Illia should be higher plenty of other candidates than Paddy for top spots.
Honestly they have always had this problem either dropouts or bad ordering, occasionally  there are even better fights on the under card "prelims".
