Both guys are pretty bad. Marcos ain’t going far, but for some stupid reason they’re throwing him a freebie bone here. I thought he’d beat Brandon Lewis, but I picked Lewis anyway cause I like fading people with that 0 (dumb mistake, I knew he’d beat the midget) but tbh he’s not all that good. He’s not terrible, but the fact that he was a dog against a 4”11, 6-1 guy really says it all. Sure he beat that guy and looked decent, but he’s gotten hurt and taken down by regional bums before. Idk why they’re giving him one of the worst fighters on their roster in that dudes home country but feeding Mendonca to Basharat and Aguilar to Taira, but eh. Could go either way ig. Oliveira did get 30-27ed by Tony Gravely, not finished, and Tony is solid. But I think Marcos takes this pretty easily

I think Marcos’s striking is solid, especially his calf kicks. His ground game is lacking but Oliveira won’t be able to take advantage. His takedowns are very porous

I don’t think marcos is that bad. It’s clear he improved a lot in his time off. I rewatched his contender series fight and he looked amazing

Just re-watched it, he didn't look amazing but he definitely looked much better than I remember. It's clear he's made a lot of improvements and is actually quite solid now, cause in some of his regional fights he was downright terrible lol

It’s a tragedy Gregory Rodrigues is not on the main card. He’s one of the most exciting fighters in the sport no matter the weight class

I thought he looked amazing. The only real issue was his gas tank but I believe that was due to the style of fight that was fought. Lewis constantly kept walking forward and ate every single shot he threw. Marcos also faced 13 takedown attempts throughout the fight. All that wrestling paired with the constant zombie-like pressure from lewis slowed him down. Other than that his striking looked fantastic, his movement in the pocket was super clean, and his tdd looked much improved

I’m ok with Gregory Rodriguez being on the prelims if he the main event, I love G-Rod as well but I also love Gilbert Burns, Andrade and Walker vs Craig also, so puting them on the main card isn’t bad becuase they’re a bit more relevant and just about as fun, also main event of the prelims isn’t a bad spot on the card

This card is underated becuase people think it not intersting, but the real ones know this card seem fun, and that the best card, Also Guram vs Moise is on the card

No, not really. Why would you say that? Because of his record?

Let me tell and remind you one thing(if you didn't know). His last 12 opponents record before Negumereanu was 45 - 51 . Negumereanu is the only who raised this number up for him. And he lost. And we saw what happened to Nicolae against Ulberg.

Let the guy just fight. He won't shine.

Ihor doesn’t deserve anything. He’s a DWCS alum who disappointed in his debut and got crushed. He looked gassed af after 1 round too. He’s also fighting an old and with all due respect horrible looking Shogun Rua

Gregory Rodrigues on the other hand is 4-1 in the ufc and should be 5-0. He has 2 FOTN bonuses with 1 highlight reel beat down over Julian Marquez. And that fight with Chidi was one of the most purely entertaining fights of the year. He’s also fighting someone who’s ranked 15 in the 185lb division

Big difference between those two fights

My apologies, Tavares is not ranked but he’s still way more qualified to be on a main card than Ihor Poteria

Rua is a legend and was once considered the best at LHW.  This is his last fight so that is why he is there.

Obama is must see tv he should be on the main card. Sadly ihor should be on the main card BUT not because he’s ihor, because he’s fighting a legend of the sport who is having his retirement fight in his home country. That’s the only reason he’s on the main card and it’s the last time he will ever be on a ppv main card ever again

@ayy I could understand that for sure. The only reason he’s on there is for Rua. Ihor is only gonna get this spot due to circumstance. Not because of his own ability

I need to look at tape, but I think the UFC could be setting up Shogun for a win with one of the ****est guys on the roster, I doubt they care enough to promote Ihor, espacally in Brazil, If that is the case, I wouldn’t care that much for it to be on the main card, even if they’re better prelims, I watch most the fight anyway

I’m more worried that it gonna be depressing with Shogun getting slept by a guy who isn’t that good

He’s likely too fast for shogun. Shoguns last fight with osp was just painful. He actually put up a decent fight, but ihor is a fast starter and won’t fight the dumb point fight that OSP gave him
