Striking numbers favored Piera, I think the clinch knees by Piera were the most damaging strikes of the fight, five takedowns to none. I dont see the argument for a close fight. MMA fans just don't like people moving backward, which is... dumb.

Tieoken You shouldn't be overly focused on those numbers. If you look carefully and have paid attention, you could see that most strikes were blocked by Piera. Hughes was pressuring the entire time but didn't really do anything with it. She got her two wins in the UFC by taking down her opponent, because her opponents were stationary. Which is exactly why Piera was on the back foot the entire time. And at times moved forward to catch Hughes into her takedown. Her gameplan won her this fight. Piera was just smarter this fight.

Cruz is an active point fighter and his style is unique so he’s still enjoying to watch. He fights safe but still makes it entertaining

Also, did nothing with her 5 takedown, They shouldn't count if she does no damage with it.

Hughes did more damage in the 1st, 3rd was pretty 50-50 damage wise

Hughes was definitely more busted up and did not mix up her target at all. Rodriguez had nice body work which clearly all of y'all pulling for Hughes missed

Exactly, a takedown shouldn’t mean anything if no control time or damage was done. Hughes could’ve been more active as well though, Rodriguez did deserve that win overall

Love the fake, arbitrary, not backed up by anything, predicted the losing fighter to win but not mentioning that arguments about fighter damage. It's like clockwork. Hughes did not do more damage in two rounds. Hughes did not win. Stop being wrong in the exact same way every fight card.
