It looks like it was all planned in advance. From a brawl to a failed weigh-in. This is evidenced by the fact that no one filmed a fight of 100 people, although usually even small conflicts from hundreds of angles get on camera. And also Khamzat was seen before weighing in a restaurant where he ate and drank soda.

Chimaev at a restaurant is not surprising when he missed by 8 lbs. He probably gave up on the idea of making weight earlier in the week and knew it wouldn't happen.
Still unprofessional to not try to get as close as possible but it seems he has little concern for others.
