Well you've done well ignoring him for the most part, and yes it's quite sad he just doesn't let it go. I did some stupid **** in my youth though on the Interwebz.

Blackshear isn't "green" just because Zalal has 6 fights in the UFC already.

He's literally got just as many fights as Zalal against good competition. Two of Zalal's wins are against guys that arent even in the promotion anymore.

This fight comes down to the weight cut. If Zalal is healthy and fit, he has a good shot of winning because he's very well rounded and has a little bit of a size advantage he can exlpoit. But if he starts to fade even for a second, he's getting subbed. These guys are dead even in terms of overall skill and experience.

Great matchmaking as usual (UFC is really good at this despite many on this site believing the opposite).

I wasn’t saying he’s green because of the ufc fights, watch him on the regional scene, he’s not ready. There’s a reason he was supposed to fight in Cffc later this year, there’s a reason he was not on dwcs this season. He’s a good fighter but I think it’s too soon

Plus there’s an experience factor. Zalal put up good fights against woodson and ilia, where da’mon is dropping decisions to Moutinho. Zalal isn’t even a bad fighter, he’s just been on a bad streak fighting really good competition

^ All that plus I rate Zalal’s wins a lot higher than any of Blackshear’s, whether they got cut by the UFC or not they are 10 times better than Blackshear’s win over an 11-7 opponent or his win over a 5-2 opponent. But still I said the same exact thing about Javid and look what he did to Trevin Jones lol.

Ya I mean opposition isn’t always the deciding factor in who wins but he just don’t look ready from tape. He is lazy on the ground; what I mean is he lets himself get put into submission opportunities a LOT. Sure, he can escape but against a quality opponent (or someone who’s not a regional fighter) it’s concerning. He also isn’t Greta at controlling; his opponents can scramble out of positions a lot. We saw against ilia that Zalal is more than capable of scrambling out of tough positions before so I have no reason to believe he can’t do it here. blackshear has missed weight before too so who even knows if he’s gonna make it here; he’s a big 135er.

Yeah when I watched that match I couldn’t believe some of the stuff that Zalal was getting out of, like I mean there were two submissions that I’m pretty sure Topuria had locked up and Zalal still somehow scrambled out of them, and what’s even more impressive is that it was in the first round when he was dry and that’s also when Ilia is at his most dangerous. I just hope Zalal does not grapple because he was initiating some of the grappling against Topuria 😂

@imRealUgly

I think Zalal's striking and movement will be too much for Blackshear, especially if Moutinho's was able to use that exact gameplan.

I know Moutinho isn't good and I get it but I also don't see the point in focusing on one fight from the first half of a young fighters career. That was 4 years and 9 fights ago. Blackshear probably subs Moutinho now.

Zalal should be favored simply because he's just as skilled, fought slightly but not drastically better competition and will have a slight reach advantage. But I'm telling you, if he gasses at any point he's in deep ****. I have no other concerns otherwise because Zalal has shown me he's a really smart, well rounded fighter more than once.
